[Beverly woke up this morning feeling strangely... invigorated. Looser, more carefree, and dare she say it? Happier than she's felt in months, ever since she first arrived on the Marsiva. To celebrate, she decided to head for the beach.

Which is where you'll find her now, lounging on a towel and reading a book that looks suspiciously similar to the ah... literature Dorian was so kind as to read out loud to the network a while back. At the very least, there's a ridiculous picture of a shirtless burly man in a plaid kilt on the front cover. As for her, well, she's wearing a very stylish green bathing suit and a big white sunhat, thoughtfully provided by a fan (who has thankfully saved you all from seeing her in some 1980s sparkly gold monstrosity instead). No doubt if you approach her, she'll flash a blinding smile your way and cheerfully engage you in conversation. Or better yet, some fun activities! Right now, she's up for almost anything!]

Clearly she's not that absorbed in her cultural studies as she almost immediately notices Allen over by the food stand, though she doesn't catch what he said. She waves cheerfully before getting up and trotting over to him. You know, just in case the other people in line didn't realize that he knows this crazy lady reading erotica out on the beach.]

Hello Allen! Taking a lunch break?

[ Oh that's uh...she really is coming over here with that book. Where everyone can see. That's... ]

[She turns to look at Allen when she asks this, and notices the uncomfortable look on his face, despite his smile (though it is very sweet of him to try to hide his discomfort). She may be overly happy and affectionate, but she isn't clueless, so she quickly lets go of him.]

Mm! Very nice! I wish Sokka wouldn't insist on using so much of our freezer space on meat...

[Since seriously, it sucks to have to resort to proteins faster than everyone else. But he'll smile politely and shake his head]

No, really, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. It's just that - and please, try not to get upset about this, as I know the last time it happened things didn't go all that well - I believe my augment is glitching again. My serotonin levels this morning were way beyond normal, especially considering all the stress I have been under recently.

No, of course not! But today I woke up so happy... Well, I knew I needed to account for that dramatic of a mood change from yesterday.

We...should keep an eye on your augment, then. But, um...[how to phrase this] after it's back to normal, maybe you should consider talking to Aang? He's very mature for his age when it matters, and I know he's eager to do his job...

I meant the drastic change in emotions is what gave me pause, more than the emotions themselves. I've been happy! Just... this month has been very stressful.

[She's not entirely lying, but she's not being entirely truthful either. To be fair to her, it's hard for her to focus on anything remotely depressing right now.]

But you're right, I should talk to someone about it. I've already talked to Natasha a couple of times! She's a counselor as well.

[Yeah...considering he's seen how stressed she's been, how much she's been working and doing things like crying in the clinic on Mother's day...he questions the truthfulness of that statement]

Ah...I haven't met Natasha yet.

[He smiles]

But we can worry about that later. How about for now...you take a few days off to relax until the glitch wears off? You've been stressed like you said, and working really hard. You could use a vacation!

I can watch the clinic and there's lots of people helping with the Nunnilis, don't worry.

[She also enjoyed herself at the casino, so it's not like she's been miserable the whole time she's been here.
