Who: Khadgar
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: For Twin Roses
When: Several days after the water temple

[Someone got a set of books when he was dragged along, completely against his will, through a temple exploration adventure. And promptly started studying them the instant he got back to Twin Roses and free time. Which lead to a couple sleepless nights and now this.

Khadgar has three books spread evenly around him, a notebook under one of those, and one book in front of him. Or rather, it's under his face. His sleeping face. Learning new magic is fun!

No really, he loves it.]

Who: Rey
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: On the planet~
When: Thursday morning.

[Water. There is so much water. Rey doesn't quite know what to do with herself as she stands on one of the shores.]

I have never seen so much water. Is it always so blue? [Entering it seems questionable, but when in Rome, right? Not that she knows of Rome or that particular metaphor.] Can anyone give me pointers on how to swim?

[She hasn't actually done that before.]

I think I can figure it out and not drown, but - [She's trying to be cautious. Does she get points for that?]

Who: Makie and you
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Iskaulit, Twin Roses
When: Now-ish

[She'd been, uh... somewhat distracted about thinking on this from a bunch of ships colliding with each other and upsetting her carefully maintained equilibrium (guys I'm just a samurai chick who wants to sit peacefully and drink tea enough of these space shenanigans) and avoiding looking outside entirely, because being under the ocean is extremely unsettling.

Today is the first time she's been to the Iskaulit gardens since they arrived in this odd place.  It reminds her of something she'd like to do.]

...in Adstringendum, people arrived and left all the time, much like this place.  You grow used to a person's presence, establish... ties.  [What a formal way of putting it.  She's thinking of the bizarre jar collection in her room.]  And then suddenly, they're gone.  The same holds true here, doesn't it...?  It can be hard for a great many people, even if you know you'll see them again.

In Adstringendum, we kept what we called a memory tree.  People would attach the names of those who'd left... paper monuments, so they'd never be forgotten.  And new arrivals would always know who had been and gone.

I wondered if we might do the same here.

---------

[She'll be in the garden for most of the day.  Either playing her shamisen or actuallyyou know, gardening.  It's a thing.  And if she concentrates on the dirt under her knees, maybe she can forget they're submerged in the ocean.]

Who: Richard Castle and YOU
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: N/A unless you want to talk to him in person on the Twin Roses
When: March 23rd

[Castle definitely wasn't one for going deep-sea diving to fight monsters, even with his newfound powers. Fire wasn't very effective underwater, after all.

So he decided to go for some entertainment instead. Time for another crappy romance novel reading. The cover has a stereotypical image of a very buff man holding a swooning damsel in his arms and is titled FLIGHT OF PASSION.]

"Steven tried to run, but it seemed like everywhere he turned, the scary-looking shadow followed him. Finally, he realized he had nowhere left to go and turned to face the creature. He then gasped as it floated toward him. It was smaller, it seemed, than it appeared to be- projecting shadows on the walls from the streetlights had made it seem much more sinister.

'Why are you following me?' he whispered to the creature, before taking a closer look at it. There was something familiar about its eyes... the color of its fur... 'Maria?' Steven asked in wonder. 'Are you... are you the mysterious were sugarglider?' "

[Castle shuts the book and smirks.]

So, quick poll- which would you rather have, a were cuttlefish or a were sugarglider?
