Rebound
Who: Greed (and sorta Alphonse)
Broadcast: Yes
Action: A park on the Starlight
When: February 28th, after this post
[The transmission starts abruptly with a flash of red light. When the image clears, there's a few blades of grass in the way and a grotesque image of a man's back, only it's embedded with pieces of metal armor as well as what looks like an armored hand sticking out from the side. It's all the result of some hideous rebound. The man sways unbalanced and seemingly oblivious to the mess made upon his back. He stands there for a few seconds before stumbling forward and kneeling to something beyond the angle of the camera.]
Alphonse!? [There is the sound of banging on metal.] Alphonse! Dammit, answer me!
[There is nothing. No answer. Just silence.]
Say something you shitty brat! We were getting out of this shit hole together! Don't say you--
[And then, just like that, the feed cuts out without explanation.]

Action
[Alphonse.]
[He doesn't bother to reply to the feed, it seems like Greed isn't taking questions right now anyway. He can tell that it looks like one of the parks on the station, so that's where he heads. It's not hard for him to find Greed for Allen- but getting near is not quite as easy, what with all those souls coming from Greed. But Allen was a man on a mission, and so he'll brave it and slowly approach the scene, looking like he has a killer headache- all while a lens hovers over his left eye.]
Dammit... [He'll call out to Greed who is clearly moving on adrenaline what with that arm sticking out of his back] Hey! Stop moving, you're hurt!
Action
Get out of here! Dammit, go!
[Wasn't he supposed to have men guarding the perimeter?! What happened to them? Ran, probably. Goddamn cowards.]
Action
[Normally, Allen would try to be more patient. Try to be more understanding. But considering his head was killing him and this abomination of a man was the source of that? His patience is more than a bit strained. So as Greed starts approaching him like a mad man, he activates the razor sharp claws on his left hand and holds them out before Greed gets too close. ]
It's a public park, I can be here if I wish.
[So there.]
Now if you'll calm down, you'll prevent further injury and I'll have a chance to check on Alphonse.
Action
So Greed can only react to protect his friend. His skin turns to a graphite black, starting with his hands and moving up his forearms. Both of his hands become razor sharp claws, while the rest become an impenetrable shield.]
Don't take one step closer. He's my responsibility.
Action
Yes, and you're doing a wonderful job with that I see.
[You're not here to fight, he has to remind himself tersely. He lowers the claws, but doesn't deactivate]
Please get those souls in check. They're in pain and it's hard to pinpoint Alphonse's soul with all the interference. I only intend to make sure his soul is still intact and attached to his armour.
Action
[Normally he can keep them in check. But not now. Not just yet. But then there's still Alphonse. He glances back at the shattered armor, wondering. Shouldn't Ling have already offered to do that? Was he being muffled by the other souls? He doubted even the prince could last long in that maelstrom.]
Action
[He stares at Greed, glances back at his own claw, then looks back at Greed. Sure, his own powers were made to bring salvation to souls just like these. But he didn't have a way to do it without destroying Greed in the process, and while that was quite tempting for an Exorcist...]
[...Ugh. It's so much easier when you can kill these things. He speaks with a huff. This is a pain in the ass]
Try- I don't know, sitting down and taking deep breaths. And get that hand out of your back. [He'd offer, but he doubt he'd be able to touch this guy without his own powers going in for the kill]
Meanwhile I'll focus as much as I can and try to find your friend.
Action
No, that was no use. But he would keep his distance. But he would be watching Allen's every move.]
That seal is the only chance he has to live. You so much as lay a finger on it and I'll take your head off. Understand?
Action
That's right! The seal's a source...
[Duh! And here he was focusing on the clouds of souls. Of course Al would have a different source than Greed- it was a different vessel. So instead of looking around like he was before, his lens eye focuses over at Al's armor, until it seems to zero in on the location of the seal. AND sure enough, in Allen's vision- there's Al's soul chain coming right from it]
[Now it's just a matter of following his eyes up the chain and-]
- I found him! His soul's still there!
Action
Then why isn't he speaking? He doesn't need sleep and you can't knock him out! [He advances as he grows angrier.] So where is he!?
Action
[Or at least, very much asleep. But Allen's eye wasn't one to deceive him, so he's not sure...what Greed is getting at]
I don't see any damage to him though. He looks more like he's taking a nap.
Action
Action
[So. There you go.]
What exactly were you two trying to do?
Action
Greed scowls at the question.]
It doesn't matter now. It didn't work.
Action
[Well then. He finally looks away from Al's soul now that the assessment is complete, and takes a few steps away from the armor. He looks over at Greed as well.]
Well whatever it was, I'm willing to bet that it set off the mechanism in his augment that allows him to be put to sleep. [Maybe there was damage done, it'd make sense with how they kept being put to sleep until their own malfunctions were fixed with the calibrations]
I suggest you ask people to help bring all of him to the Vanquish's lab, as well as someone to help you with your injuries. [Notably, he's not offering his own help with that.] It might take awhile, but I see no reason why he won't wake up again.
Action
Other arguments, on the other hand...]
He's my responsibility. He should be on the Huntress.
Action
Talk that out with the Vanquish's crew. That's his ship, after all.
[And with that, he starts moving to leave. He got the information he came for. Staying any longer would be just risky]
Action
... though, there's one other thing that concerns him.]
You can sense what's inside me. Can you tell them all apart?
Action
Why do you ask?
Action
Action
Yes, but barely. There's...a lot of them. Far more than I'm used to sensing at once.
Action
[He knew it was unlikely. He didn't think even his own father could single out a single soul by identity from a philosopher's stone. But. He had to ask.
Ling had been too quiet.]
Action 1/3
[That...surprises Allen. Normally creatures that occupy another's body couldn't give a damn about the original host or the state of their soul. So to ask Allen to find them...]
[Jeez Greed. First caring about Al and now about the host's soul. You really don't act like the typical akuma-type do you. He wasn't sure what to make of that.]
[Still...even if he had to be careful about how much he aided a creature like Greed, he was sure just looking for a soul wouldn't cause him to Fall.]
I...can try. Not sure if it'll work though.
Action 2/3
Action 3/3 DONE
I can't-- I'm sorry.
[Jesus. It's even worse than looking at a Level 4's soul]
