[You know what's great about being a seraph? Never getting sick. You know what's not great about being a seraph? Having zero frame of reference for what being sick is like when you experience it for the first time. And after a month of quietly enduring and/or ignoring it, despite being a water elemental trapped on a planet full of poisonous water, it's finally caught up to him.

It doesn't help that this realization comes hand in hand with the fact that he's been upgraded to captain, apparently, which is as nonsensical a decision as he's ever heard from the Atroma. The one perk - besides the sudden lack of malevolence on the Huntress due to Greed's departure - means that he now has a big bed to curl up and be miserable in.]

I have a few questions.

is there some sort of guide for captain's duties? for those who lack experience.

He makes an attempt at sending this out as an anonymous communication, but he's a bit too light-headed and bleary-eyed to pull it off, so it probably doesn't work too well. He still doesn't show up on camera, so there is that.]

I'd like to assume that as well, but I've honestly never felt like this before.

I imagine I'll have to. Though whether or not they'll take orders from him is another story.

[He has some good leadership qualities, but "authority" has never been one of them. Not that Mikleo can really consider himself good at giving orders, either. It'll be an experience, either way.]

For symptoms... I've been getting physically weaker for a while now, and sometimes it hurts to move. My body feels hot, and my chest is burning, which isn't normal at all. I've tried to avoid going out, but it looks like proximity alone is enough to have an effect on me.

That's fine, you actually want to keep orders down to a minimum anyway. [It's not like these crews signed up for the military after all]

...Sounds like you have a fever. It might be the augment trying to burn the toxins out. It's done that with other patients.

Have you had these symptoms since we've come here?

It started gradually. It was subtle enough that I didn't notice at first. Probably because I'm not used to it- the same thing happened the first time I felt malevolence back home.

[In a way, this is worse- at least with malevolence, they can do something about it.]

Unfortunately, no. It's not malevolence, it's physical. Sorey's domain can't help.

Has your ship been docked on the moon all this time? Or have you gone into orbit or visited the Iskaulit?

I've spent some time on the Iskaulit, and distance helped a little, but not enough. Anyway, I can't stay away from Sorey for long. He's supposed to be my vessel.

[Admittedly he hasn't tested the limits of that, since the rules are different here, but he'd rather not try when he's already feeling ill.]

I suppose not...but you two are best friends, aren't you? Surely he wouldn't mind going with you to the Iskaulit for a bit if you asked.

It isn't exactly fair. There's a lot he can do on the moon, considering all of the people there.

I doubt Sorey would think about it that way.

Honestly? That's half the problem. Sorey will do almost anything for people who need help. It's part of his appeal, but it also means he's easy to take advantage of. I'd rather avoid that.
