Captain's Log 03 - Landing Party

Tests have been run, data has been gathered, packaged, looked over, highlighted with all sorts of colored sharpies. There is only so much the data can prove. What's needed now is an actual investigation, getting the final clue to a puzzle that, Kirk thought, they were running very short of time on.

Which was how he ended up down on the surface of the toxic moon, in front of the nearest terraformer.

Time to go find some answers.

<sub>[ ooc: Since I didn't want to flood the comm, it can be assumed that Kirk announced he would be going to explore the terraformers and asked if anyone wanted to come and form an expedition party. So, if you want to come, feel free to jump in.

Let's see... The map says it's just a liiiiittle bit further!

[If you're wondering if she's been saying that the last couple of times, yes. Yes she has. Also, how do ponies unfold maps like that with just their hooves? Why is there a paper copy of the map in the first place?]

[Tyrion has heard this at least four times -- and after the second time he started to disbelieve the pony's ability to read a map. He wasn't entirely certain how Pinkie had unfolded it in the first place - she had no fingers, after all.]

It's definitely a lot littler than last time~!

[Well, he would give that to her. She was one of the few people smaller than him in the Fleet. She was also adorable.

Weeeell, not REALLY, but only because this map doesn't have a good scale on it. But I do know we're getting further along, so I do have AN idea~

... Pinkie do you even know where we are right now?

Well yeah, of COURSE I do, silly! [She puts her hoof over the surface of the map and emphasizes each locale with a tap of her hoof.] We're in this crater, and then we went into THIS earthformer thingy's hatch, and now we're going down THIS tunnel, and we've taken a left, right, left left, right right, and a middle so far!

[The tunnel portion of the map is abysmal, though.]

[He leans over to look at the map, then followed her hoof along the instructions. Then he arched an eyebrow at her in turn.]

...And you're certain you have a good idea?

Oh, yeah! In fact, I've been writing a little tune to keep track of the turns~

...I apologize, but did you say you have written some sort of ballad for the turns we have been making?

Yeeup~! Although it's more of a ditty than a ballad right now--OOH! Another fork! NOW it's got enough stanzas for a ballad!
