A. Exploring/Investigation.

[ Given there are now more places to roam around and with his job as security, Rick will be doing just that. No matter where he might be, Rick will have paper and pen in hand, making notes that might appear to not make any sense given they'll be in morse code. He'll also ask questions to anyone who wanders by him, especially about the augments and job details.

When it comes to being on the Iskaulit, Rick will be trying to be find edible food and working out. He needs to run off excess nerves and energy. Also, trying to find a decent drink. So, bother him. ]

B. Glitch!

[ A slight augment glitch will make it so Rick sounds British for a little while but still with hints of his country twang and speech patterns. It'll be a mess and completely frustrating for him. ]

C. Video.

[ Another sudden change left Rick more frustrated than ever but the loss of Daryl and Maggie just twisted a knife worse in him. What happened? Did they return home or had something far worse happened to them? He wanted to believe the former but experience led him to always holding onto the latter.

With a deep sigh, he grabbed for the device to see what the network had to say about things. ]

Everyone is in different places now? [ He paused with a frown. ] Do people leave a lot? Just without warnin'? [ Now, he shook his head, looking sad for a moment. ]

If anybody needs any help with target practice, let me know. [ It would make things feel a little more level for him. Almost like how things were in Alexandria. ]

'Target practice'? As it pertains to combat?

[ At least, more humanish than some of the others he has already encountered so far. ]

Yes, shootin' and related combat. Ya know how?

[ No place is ever safe. Paranoia perhaps but it kept all of his group alive for so long and now he would most likely adopt in others and consider them apart of his 'group' as well. ]

[Allura's smile broadens.] I do, in fact! [She stuffs down the looming sense of danger nagging in the back of her mind at the realization that this may be an encouraged past time, but for now, best to make friends.]

I've been trained in combat since I was a youth--though ballistics is something that I've picked up more recently. [Seeing as the Galrans tend to favor them as a weapon of choice.] Are there other facets of combat training aboard?

[ There sure were a lot of different types of environments people were from, weren't there? It would be enough to trouble anyone but he needed to focus more on the present circumstances. ]

Any certain reason you were trained? [ He nodded his head slowly. ] I'm not sure. Just wanted to put the offer out there for anyone who might need some help. Best to be prepared, ya know? [ Things were too murky to not be prepared for the worst. Not the brightest optimist out there. ]

Well, the royal family members were always expected to be capable of leading their armies into battle--[That's what she was always told, anyway.

But you're a stranger, so no point in pulling you into the harsh reality: the fact that there's a genocidal imperial race that's wiped her entire species out.]

I imagine there's a lot of ground to cover, especially for us newcomers. It's best not to let our guards down through all the distractions.

[ Royal family? Armies? His days keep getting more complicated. ] Take it you're royal then? Did ya like trainin' for battle? [ The answer would be important even if it didn't seem like it. ]

More ground to cover than I imagined. I haven't been here too long. Till now, we were all stuck in the same place. Don't really know all the details.

[Allura softly laughs at the question.] Well, when you do it every day, sometimes you love it, sometimes you hate it. I will say I'm grateful for the lessons it has taught me, and it's certainly saved me from harm more than a handful of times.

[She offers a sympathetic smile.] Well I just got here, so you seem better-adjusted than I am, at least?

[ With a nod of his, he knew all too well how she felt. Sometimes, not having a choice proved to be the most difficult thing to contend with, especially if it had the double edged sword of the pressure with keeping others safe. The weight it added never really went away. ]

I can't say I really understand anythin' yet but I've been here for a couple weeks I think it's been. Hard to say when nothin' makes sense. [ He let out a deep sigh. ] What's the last thing ya remember before endin' up here?

[Allura slowly nods, looking off-screen at nothing in particular.] You sound like a good handful of people I've been talking to. It seems whatever has us held here is making a concentrated effort on rebuffing any efforts to learn more about this place.

[She looks back at the man and gives an appreciative smile. She's not sure how this answer will help him, but she offers it all the same.] I had just emerged victorious from battling an evil space witch.

It's a way to keep compliance by keepin' everyone off kilter. I've seen it before out in the field. [ There were a lot of ways to trap someone and not everything amounted to actual chains and sealed off rooms. Sometimes, the worst of which lingered within and making a person feel hopeless. ]

[ He nodded his head, thinking about it for a moment. ] Would ya say you were havin' particularly strong emotions or anythin' at the time?
