[ Elize has been faring much better since arriving. Of course, she still misses Teepo a great deal. But she can't keep herself locked away, moping in her personnel room for too long. It's lonely in there. Despite how shy she may be, she wants to meet people and make more friends. She's going to try. Although, expect her to possibly get flustered a lot when you speak to her.

The little girl can be found sticking around the docking station, lingering in front of the fleet ships. Unless invited, she won't board your ship. And don't worry, if it looks like you're busy, she won't bother you. She tries not to get into any trouble.

Leave her alone without talking to anyone for too long at the station, she'll grow bored and start to softly sing an original tune from the top of her head: ]

So many stars shining bright ♪
Maybe Teepo's somewhere in one of those specks of light ♪

[ Her voice is soft and amateurish. Not exactly a professional singer, but it seems like she's having fun. She ran out of words, so she's going to start humming another random tune she just came up with.

Feel free to run into her outside of your fleet ship. Or if you just happen to be on the SS Huntress, she's most likely already on board... ]

[ On one hand, Duke is fairly sure he's about to break all the rules of how to interact with children he doesn't know.

On the other hand, she's singing, and that probably means she understands music and things relevant to it better than he does...

So Duke awkwardly stops well out of arms reach from her, and after a moment, drops to one knee so he isn't looming super awkwardly. ]

You sing well. Do you know instruments as well?

[ Unfortunately, she doesn't really know much about singing. She just sings for fun or just because she feels like it. ]

Umm... Thank you. [ Swaying her arms to her side nervously. Sorry, Duke. She might find you to be a little more intimidating than some others. Awkward meet awkward little girl. ]

N-no. I don't. I wish I did.

[ It's because he looks weird and has a deep voice, isn't it. He does notice she doesn't look particularly comfortable, so he's quiet for a bit as he tries to figure out... how not to be more weird than he accidentally already was. ]

I see... I wish I did as well - a friend of mine is arriving, and he knows how to sing and play instruments.... Only he doesn't have any with him.

[ Exactly. Well, it should be fine. Recently, she has been encountering plenty of people that look rather intimidating. Some very different from an average human. But in the end, they wind up being completely harmless!

Her voice remains shaky, nervous. ]

That's fine. He can just hum or sing.

[ Both "average human" and "completely harmless" aren't accurate, but he definitely doesn't mean her any harm so. ]

Very true... I was just hoping to surprise him with something he could play.

[ As long as he isn't trying to harm her, then he's good!! ]

The shops here don't sell very good things. I haven't seen any instruments.

[ Then he should edge into that "weird but nice" territory... eventually. ]

... I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that there's nothing good to buy here. [ Well nothing particularly good but for the ship parts, but those weren't.. perhaps luxury items? Hmn. That could be the problem. ]

[ Her shoulders slump in disappointment. ]

Are all the stations like this?

This is the first I have been to as well. There ought to be better ones out there, but whether they will be ones we stop at or not...

[ .. He doesn't know either, sorry. ]

[ She looks down, kicking at the ground. It's growing boring here. The VRD's entertainment didn't last long either. Virtual copies just aren't the same as the real thing. ]

I... hope you can find an instrument for your friend.

[ He would agree and disagree. The VRD is good for taking long walks in circles and thinking you were going somewhere. ]

Thank you. [ And it's time to try to figure out how not to be super awkward- ]

And I hope the next place the fleet goes to has .. more interesting sights. [ IS more interesting could be.. bad interesting. ]

[ She'd find walking in circles to be boring. Unless she had Teepo with her. ]

What kind of interesting sights?

[ That's a hard question. ]

... Personally, I would find... a place with a great library interesting. Or perhaps one with a great deal of animals to talk to. [ Yes he said talk to. ]

You can talk to animals?! How?

[ She sounds so amazed. ]

I would say its more of hearing them than them understanding me- [ Well, they do understand him, but maybe that's just animals understanding more than people believe- ]

It is.. usually they make some sort of noise, and with how they're standing, it makes sense like words to me. It usually means I have no trouble from monsters because they are more interested in.. being pet, or the food I can spare.

Can you talk to rappigs?

[ Some of that explanation might have went over her head, but this question is more important. ]

... I have never met one, so I cannot know for certain... but likely.

[princessia]

You should meet one and talk to it. [ She has to gush a little, briefly forgetting her awkwardness around Duke. ] They're so cute.

... I'm assuming they're a combination of rabbits and pigs?

[ Duke sits cross-legged, thinking. Completely ignoring the fact he just took a seat on the station floor. ]

If I find one, I'll let you know as well. ... And likely the same if I find any bunwigles. [ Because he thinks those are pretty great for holding when you feel terrible, and that counts as cute, right? ]

[princessia]

Yes, they're rabbit-like pigs!

[ Or pig-like rabbits. Then she makes a small amazed gasp. She has no idea what bunwigles are, but the name sounds cute. Like bunnies. Clearly, they must be something cute. ]

Bunwigles? Do they look like rabbits too?

[ It takes Duke a second to think of a smaller pink pig instead of the normal pork-bearing pig-like monsters. Possibly cute. Probably not that warm in winter. ]

They are very round rabbits - look like they are mostly the rabbit's face, with little front paws, and then the tail on the other side.

How cute!

[ That almost sounds like a regular rabbit to her. It's fine though. The thought of rabbit-like creatures adorable anyway. It might be better for her to actually see it in person. ]

[ A regular rabbit that can bounce over an adult's head. Duke neglected to mention they're actually a monster variety, didn't he- ]

They are rather soft, as well. There's little better than finding a few of them when it grows close to winter.

[ Endboss and tiny dark mage, sitting outside ships talking about fluffy animals. Nothing strange here. ]

[princessia]

[ The word monster makes her think of wyverns or large dragons that can eat little girls. Not rabbits. Probably best not to mention they're of the monster variety.

She tilts her head in thought. ]

...Is there winter in space?

[ He has a calming effect on monsters, maybe it won't come up at all. ]

.... I think it is a thing that has to do with planets and their sun. Perhaps if the ship runs cold inside, that is our winter?
