People should tell me about the food they got from home! Was it something you love? Something you hate? Share!

[Tyrion's video clicked on once more, and yes, he's sitting in his New Engineering Station, with a lot more bits, and bobs, and all sorts of interesting new things that he can use in his inventions. He is, of course, eying the new tools suspiciously. Even more so the basket waiting for him, with a big red and gold bow.]

....Well. [He finally says.] Someone clearly wants to see what sort of trouble I can get myself into.

[He flicks the bow with one finger.] So is this a challenge, Atroma? You vs me in who can invent the most clever item to trip the other one up? Or are you truly sorry for what you've done?

[He tipped his head towards the camera.] Remember who you're dealing with. No one knows better than I that gifts from your enemies always have a hook inside them.

[He pulled loose the bow, a sharp smile on his face.]

Action: The Tourist if you want to speak to him in person
When: Now! Right now!

[ The video comes on and Kirk fills the screen, looking somewhere between perturbed and amused, maybe even a touch confused. Or was it miffed? Either way it's a slightly odd expression and just to his left is sitting a basket most everyone should be familiar with now. It is opened, though the food stuffs is left untouched (for now - he's not Looma, okay?).

He picks one of the items up off the table beside him and holds it up - it's a picture of a bird with some words atop it that read: 'I took a calculated risk, but man, am I bad at math' and titled on the frame as "Self Portrait". ]

I feel this is a very sassy and unwarranted attack on my character, Atroma. Is there something you're trying to tell me?

[After seeing to her new captain-y obligations, and figuring out who the new people on the ship are, Looma's got some important business to take care of. Very important business. She's set her comm down and everything, and look at that she's still got her nicely wrapped little gift basket in one hand! Though it doesn't look like she's so much as opened it yet.]

It has not escaped my notice that our new hosts have provided us with gifts. And, as I know they are watching us, I believe it is only appropriate I express my gratitude as directly as possible.

[Which...involves opening an airlock for some reason. Okay. Oh, yep, she's just tossing her beautifully wrapped gift basket right on in there isn't she- and glaring so hard at the camera the entire time you'd swear she was trying to burn a hole in it. Once the door's sealed, it's just one angry button smash before the whole thing's just shot right out into space. Didn't even break eye contact, either.]

I trust that should suffice.

Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Tourist and/or Iskaulit
When: From the Great Shuffle through July

It was kind of our hosts to give us gifts after keeping us on the Marsiva and making us share far, far too much with each other, but...

[The Russian pulls his lovely gift basket into view. In addition to the candies and fudge and pickled herring (he is grateful for all of these things, thank you space hosts), there are a few additional items that he is less amused by.]

Did anyone else find their choice in gifts, er... slightly insulting?

Although it was thoughtful of them, I admit, to provide a shirt [it says "I <3 bad boys," for the Russian speakers out there] for my girlfriend to wear once I grow her.

[Sarcasm. That was definitely sarcasm.]

[action]

[If Pavel isn't poking around his quarters on the Tourist, then he's going for a run on the Iskaulit. In either case, he is making no real effort to be sociable. It's not that he doesn't want to talk to people, it's just that there are a lot of things that he doesn't want to talk about. Everyone knows that the only sure way to avoid certain topics of conversation is to avoid talking entirely.

Any attempts on his part to keep quiet will fail miserably if he's approached. Being a person who likes other people is so hard sometimes.]

It's not as though it was talked about, ever, at home; definitely not in polite or public company. He's a little quieter when he speaks again:]

So I saw that --uh, clock guy was talkin' about-- [God, it's a good thing this is voice, he really wouldn't like the entirety of the fleet to see him blushing like a young lady with a crush.] --Um, gentlemen that are more inclined t' court other gentlemen. An' I saw it, too, during those memories.

I'm just wonderin': that's accepted, here? Is it accepted for the rest of y'all, too? 'Cause I sure as hell didn't see anyone posing any objections to it. Which is amazing, really, 'cause back home we couldn't do nothin' like that at all, and I was just ...curious, I guess.

[Does this look like a harassed clock with a human face? Does it? Good, because it's Cogsworth, sitting in front of a window on the Marvisa and he looks like he just swallowed about a half a dozen lemons. In his tiny brass hands he is holding a piece of paper, and he keeps fiddling with it, shifting it between his two hands.

He puts one brass hand up to his mouth, clears his throat, and then fumbles with the paper for a moment. Could he be ... nervous? It's possible.

Lips pressed together, the time hands on his face twitching, he states flatly.]

Hello. My name is Cogsworth and I am a ... [now he has to look at the word.] Ho-mo-sexual. I realize that I am a ... clock, but I assure you that I am not a ho-mo-sex-ual clock, but a ho-mo-sex-ual man. I have been ... told. Rigorously.

[Here he is glowering.]

That I need to ... 'embrace' this. So. If there are any ... individual males who would not mind ... being complimented by a ... human clock, then, ah. Please! Come forward.

[The feed cuts in showing a rather irritated Klingon tasting some of the "space gel" that the crew are forced to eat as a substitute to real food. He's in the kitchen, having had no choice but to tear himself away from all the memories and strange rooms aboard the ship. Worf isn't good dealing with odd situations like staring into someone's past or trying to get his head around things like that.]

How can anyone call this food? It is tasteless and lacks everything real food has! This is nothing compared to Gagh.

[That's Klingon food. Worms that are alive and move a lot.]

This show has gone on long enough. I demand to know what is happening and why there are these strange memories of people being shown in rooms. If you were a man I would kill you where you stand!

[He's targeting his anger at the network, hoping to get his rage across to the Atroma; his captors. Maybe Worf is just annoyed at the food selection and lack of prune juice. It seems he wants to pick a fight with something or someone.]

Given the recent events, I think it is prudent that all current captains and their first mates meet. It has been some time since we've had one, to my knowledge, and I believe it to be in our better interests to discuss the change in circumstances.

I'll secure a space that can fit us all, and let you know where and when soon.

[ Action ]
[ Kirk had secured a space that was both relatively private and large enough to fit all of the captains and first mates. At least being on the Marsiva meant that everything here was more or less neutral ground, even if it didn't feel like the safest place to meet per say. But putting this off until they got off it didn't feel right either, so best to make the most of it.

Hopefully all the captains would come, and their first mates, and they could try to make sense of the most recent events. Because someone had to, right? ]

Open Network - Video

[ There’s a young-looking woman with silver hair and serious eyes addressing the network. ]

I know that people here come from all sorts of walks of life, but I’m wondering who else has a military background. It seems like there are some things we’d be able to help each other with.

If you can, list your rank, name, and the nature of the service.

For myself it’s Captain, Signy Mallory, and it was a space ship, close to a thousand personnel under my command.

Closed Broadcast to the Wonderduck

Some of you may be aware of the fact that I was a ship’s Captain where I come from, and I have my ideas about how to run a ship now that I'm Captain of this one. I keep a tight hold on my crew, and if you disobey my orders — of which there will be more than you’re likely accustomed — you will face discipline.

If that’s likely to be a problem for you, you’re welcome to take a transfer to another ship. In fact, I would encourage you to.

For those of you who are staying, I’ll be in touch with updates to the ship’s rules soon.

In the meantime, I guess we should all figure out something to do here. This ship is pretty nice and all but I wonder if there's a place someone can skate? [Passengers on the may have gotten brushed past by a burst of wind and a flash of red and gold lightning earlier in the day, but Barry isn’t stopping for anyone, unfortunately. As wide and expansive as the ship is, there isn’t really enough room for him to build up enough speed to do anything, and he doesn’t know what it is that Savitar did, but he can’t be stuck here. Not with what’s coming. Not with what he just saw.

But eventually in futility comes acceptance, and he decides that if he’s going to be stuck here, he might as well play along. The young man that appears on the screen looks flustered and disoriented from the get go, a clear expression of confusion and needing to be anywhere but here, larger problems weighing on his shoulders than there should be. He certainly doesn’t look happy to be here, but he’s trying to pull it together, if for no other reason than it’s clear he’s being watched.]

So, hey everybody. I’m Barry. I’m … new, I guess. I’m from Central City, if that means anything to anyone, and at home, I work – or worked – for the CCPD as a CSI.

[There’s a moment as he tries to figure out what to say next, before his eyes close and he loses it. To be fair, he lasted at least two minutes longer than he thought he would.]

Okay, wait, I can’t do this. Seriously? We’re stuck on some kind of space reality TV show and I’m just supposed to play nice and do whatever? No, I’m sorry, that’s a load of … crap.

[The frustrated way the word is forced out indicates that there’s another thing he really wanted to say there, but, you know, he’s on TV. And he doesn’t use those words. Usually.]

I never agreed to be a part of this, I didn’t sign a release or a contract or anything like that, so I want to go home. Now. Or I’ll force my way out.

I wish someone had told me I was going to be on television today. Honestly, I'm grateful that you took me on my way home from practice because it means I have my skates, but I would have dressed up for the occasion had I known. A nice suit perhaps? At least a decent sweater. [He hand moves down to grip the sports bag's strap.]

I could look so much better given a little bit of notice. [Then he winks, and it's not clear if that's meant for anyone who is receiving this message, the much bigger audience they're told exists, or just because he likes winking.

Then, after a moment, he gets to the true purpose of this message.]

Oh, and if anyone has seen Yuuri Katsuki please let me know. He's Japanese, about 173 centimeters in height, has black hair and brown eyes, and wears glasses. Let him know that Victor is looking for him if you see him, hm?

Who: Iris West and YOU!!
Broadcast: Yes!
Action: If you're on the Marsiva, sure
When: May 4th

[ Two whole days later, Iris still can't believe she's actually in outer space. The view outside the Marsiva hasn't done anything to dissuade the notion, either. Part of her desperately wishes she could disembark and explore this star system: it would be the story of a lifetime, and more importantly, it would be a story she would've uncovered all by herself.

Exploring the hospitality deck hasn't answered many questions, so she's taken to sitting in the cafeteria with a trusty mug of coffee. Turns out, it's a good place to sit and think - as well as a good place to scroll through the Network and see what other people're saying.

So far, she's drawn a few conclusions: 1) there's a whole fleet of ships surrounding the Marsiva, 2) not everyone's from Earth - or a planet like it, and 3) they're here as part of a reality show?? That last one's pretty hard to believe. (Who'd watch someone write and edit?) Instead of asking her fellow captives the hows and whys, she figures she's better off asking them something else: ]

How many of you know the game 'Questions?'

It's a pretty simple game back on Earth: I pose a question, and you can only answer me with a question of your own. The first one to forget a question "loses." To make things easier on everyone, I won't instate any additional rules.
