[Clay kind of goes along with the bump, though his gaze is still on the ground. How can he smile at a time like this?]

Is that really okay? I mean, this place is... [He gives a helpless gesture, unsure how to finish that. It just... has an atmosphere of death and sorrow. How can he do that here?]
