Who: Koushirou
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: The Vanquish
When: After the shuffle/nowish
[So Koushirou's been lurking the network the for first few days he's been here, reading and watching public broadcasts and trying to figure out as much as possible about being here... And not entirely meaning to go as long as he has without actually talking to anyone, but you know. It happens.
Or it had happened, anyway, while it had been relatively easy to find an isolated corner on the Marsiva's Hospitality Deck. But now that he's on the much smaller Vanquish it's probably time to say hello, although he doesn't have all that much to say just yet.
He isn't using text for any particular reason other than that he's a much faster typer than he is speaker.]
So all new arrivals find themselves on the Marsiva, correct? Is there any way to get back onto the Marsiva once you have been transferred to another ship?
[He's asking because of reasons. And that's... About it for his first network post. Except one thing:]
I also wanted to ask if there were any other Chosen Children here.
[He hasn't seen any on the network yet, but he doesn't know all of the internationals so it's still possible.
And that's actually the end of his network post, although anyone on the Vanquish can run into him on the bridge, where he's staring intently at the communication controls and apparently attempting to resist pressing all the buttons in order to experiment with them.]

?????/fd/?/.
whats that
[Voice]
[FUCK TYPING MAN]
What's a Chosen Child?
[Voice]
It's what those in the group I'm a part of are called.
[That's a truthful answer without going too much into it.]
[Voice]
Which means... what, exactly?
[kid don't fuck with him he's like twice your age
except not
james is an adult child]
[Voice]
At least not on the other side of a network, anyway.]
It's just... A name for the group of us.
[He's guessing James wants to know why that's the name but that's not what he asked and it's not really something Koushirou intends to explain anyway. Safety of the group and all that.]
[Voice]
Merlin's beard, it must be quite the group -- but fine, have it your way. I'll think up a creative story in the meantime and ship it over for your approval.
To answer your question, I don't think you can get back to the Marsiva, but I'm new myself, and none of this existed in my universe, so I'm complete rubbish at figuring out how to get back and forth and all this technological wizardry, so --
[Ahem.]
I'm James. Welcome to the Fleet. Enjoy your stay, young sir.

"Chosen Children"?
action;
When he enters the bridge, though, he's... really surprised to see someone there. It takes him a moment to pause, remember that the shuffle happened (yeah, that's right, and taking Zessica and Tony away as well), blink a couple of times, then give a big, friendly grin.]
Well, hey there! Did you just show up here?
[Text]
[Literally everyone Zuko knows is on another ship.]
I've never heard of 'Chosen Children', but I just got here. Whoever you're looking for might show up later, too.
text
It's what the group I am a part of is called.
[They probably should choose a less conspicuous name, he's suddenly realizing.]
text
A strange name. Children chosen for what?
[Probably wise, but it's not like miss Warrior of Light here has any room to judge on that front.]
text
[It's assuming a lot, but it's a place to start anyway. In his experience, portals go both ways even if one direction might be a lot more difficult than the other.
And... He totally can't answer that second question truthfully, sorry. Fortunately it's text because he's a terrible liar in person.]
Nothing, it's just a name.
[...He's not that much better of a liar through text, actually.]
no subject
A strange name to be given without reason.
[She at least is polite enough to not call him on it.]
action;
He probably should've been expecting someone to show up at some point but Clay's greeting is a surprise, partially because he'd been so focused on the network he didn't even hear him come in. So he freezes for a moment almost comically, as if he's been caught doing something he shouldn't be, before turning around in the chair to actually face Clay.]
Hello.
[He nods his head both in answer to the question and as a respectful greeting. Clay seems friendly enough, so Koushirou isn't quite as unsure about the whole situation as he might've otherwise been; ending up in another dimension on a spaceship is one thing, talking to complete strangers is another.]
Yes, about an hour ago.
[Text]
[He already has some possible ideas, but they'll take more looking into.]
Thank you anyway. Is there anyone you know here?
[He's not sure if it would be good or bad for other Chosen to show up, but they do tend to end up in groups. He's curious about how many people here have others they know around, though.]
[Voice]
So he'll just respond to the rest.]
How long ago did you arrive?
[Oh, and introductions. People here seem to use their given names from what he's seen, and James is definitely an English first name, so...]
Nice to meet you, James. My name is Koushirou.
[...Which might be a little hard to say but good luck James.]
no subject
[But it's a good place to start, he thinks.
And he appreciates the politeness, because it gives him an opportunity to drop the subject entirely.]
no subject
action;
[Which is a relief. They'd been knocked down a couple of pegs, so having one more person would be great, both for crew morale and for the ship itself. He holds out for Koushirou for a greeting shake.]
I'm Clay Terran. I'm the pilot and the captain of this ship. And you?
[Voice]
[With a slight scratch of his cheek.]
And it's nice to meet you, Koushirou. [It sounds a bit odd with the accent, but hey, Hogwarts is a multi-cultural diverse school. HE CAN DO IT.] Hope you find your friends about.
[Text]
If Sokka says anything insensitive, just ignore him.
[HE'S ALREADY FUCKED UP ONCE SINCE ZUKO HAS BEEN HERE]
People can come and go, so more people might show up. Give it time.
augh I'm sorry for how late this is!
Your bonded?
action;
Good to meet you.
[There's another brief pause while he mentally adjusts how to introduce himself; people here seem to go with the given name first thing for the most part, from what he can tell, so...]
My name is Koushirou Izumi. I seem to have been given the ability to use the communication systems for the ship, although I haven't attempted to do so yet.
[Which took great restraint.]
no worries!
To use more common terms, my wife.
