Friend Giskard was another robot built by Dr. Fastolfe, long before he and Dr. Sarton created me. We worked together for many decades.

[He pauses, thoughtful.]

'Friend' is the usual form of address between robots on Aurora, but I believe I would classify him as having been a... friend, in the traditional sense.
