It's... not a very comfortable experience, I can assure you. Sometimes it was downright painful. Our internal organs are moved around and squeezed to make room for baby, and our hearts have to work harder and we eat more than usual to help baby grow. But the human body is amazingly resilient when it comes to this sort of thing, especially with the help of modern medicine.
