[Kate hadn't had a lot of time to get used to the whole piloting a space ship thing before everyone was relocated to the Marsiva, so once they return she makes her way to the cockpit to take a seat and look over the controls.

It's... well, it looks like it should make no sense, but it doesn't take her long to get the hang of what to push and what she should be doing. She takes it slow at first, not going far from the other ships to avoid getting lost in space, but if there are any bumps along the way it should be immediately apparent who is responsible for that.

Once she's had her practice, it's time for a trip to the waystations. She doesn't buy anything, but spends her time window shopping and looking over all the surprisingly normal things for sale.]

[Your resident engineer (one of them, anyhow) is doing pretty darn good! His media present from Atroma was this lovely song, which he's definitely bopping along in the engine room. It's not super loud, but it's sure hard to mistake for anything else as you pass by.

When he's not there, he's reading network posts in the kitchen or visiting a waystation for some much needed retail therapy. He ends up purchasing cheap junk food and trashy sci-fi novels, because what else do you buy there? Besides cheap t-shirts that are at least kind of roomy?

Either way, he's surprisingly positive considering what happened last month. Maybe someone should ask about that...]
