[ the video is coming from hinata's ID. any of his friends can see that. his crew might be alarmed to see it, since the last they saw, he was still asleep, but it seems he's woken up with an agenda.

[ said agenda is on the screen.

[ a boy who looks a little older hinata (so actually fifteen and not like he's twelve) lays on a bed in the first breath bunk room. he has black hair and he looks unhappy, but that's how he always looks, no need to be alarmed. he's tossing a volleyball at the ceiling over and over. ]

Ooooi. [ there's hinata's voice. it appears he's holding the camera. the black-haired boy doesn't respond. ]

Kageyama. [ nothing.] ... Kageyama-kuuun. [ nothing. ] Kageyama-saaaaan. [ again, nothing, so he tries a little louder. ]

KAGEYAMA-CHAAAAAAAAAAAN~!!

[ at that, kageyama throws the volleyball a little harder at the ceiling and then catches it in his hands before sitting up roughly and holding the ball like he's going to throw it at hinata. he'll do it. he will. ]

Hey! Don't call me that! [ he holds the ball a little closer to his chest. he's still frowning. that's really not going to change except for maybe more intense frowning. frowning to the nth power. ] The hell do you want! [ obviously, he's not too keen about being disturbed. ]

[ the camera shakes as hinata's hand comes into view, holding it out toward the ball like he'll try to catch it if he throws it. ] Hey, that's our only volleyball! Be nice to it! [ the hand lowers out of view again. ] Say hi to the camera! This is Kageyama, everybody!

[ when hinata chastises kageyama for being mean to the ball, kageyama looks down at it, almost a little contemplative. shit. it is their only volleyball and now kageyama looks as if he means to apologize to it. he doesn't, of course. his head perks back up when the words "say hi to the camera" process and kageyama looks at what's in hinata's hand with one eyebrow raised. they quickly furrow and kageyama is clearly unhappy. ]

Why did you turn that on? I already told you no! Turn it off!

No! You have to make friends, you don't even know your crew because you slept through the last month and a half!

You slept too, idiot!

At least I know my crew! Mostly... Th-that's not the point! You don't know anybody, you have to say hi! [ at this point, the camera gets up in kageyama's personal space as hinata shoves the comm at him. ] Say hi!!

[ it's probably not very visible, if at all, but kageyama's arm shoots out so that he can grab his wrist with a hand to try and stop hinata from getting closer with the comm. his other hand goes out to grab his opposite wrist, and though it's just kageyama's partially angry face on the screen, it is pretty normal for a struggle to happen between the two of them. ]

No! Hinata--! Dumbass, cut it out!!

Hey, you're gonna make me drop it! Watch it!

I don't care! I told you no, so back off already! [ kageyama shoves hinata, and when he goes down, the comm flies out of his hand and skids across the ground, bringing the tiny redhead into view on the floor. kageyama tosses the volleyball at him for good measure, and the fleet gets treated to a high-pitched screech of fear. the ball ricochets off of hinata and hits the camera, shutting off the feed in the process.

in between isaac lahey tping the whole ship and watching two boys fight over something silly-- why are boys so dumb????? she thought you were better than this, hinata.

anyway, there's a frown on her face as she squints at the screen, trying to see if they're okay and not like. beaten up too badly. ]

[look, hinata is alive! he's still on the floor, though.]

[hinata is not in fact dead or bloody when he gets back to the video]

[Even starting to feel fatigued and feverish with the oncoming cold, it was hard to miss the commotion coming through Furiosa's ship. Wrapped in a blanket, she follows the sound until she comes to the crew quarters, and leans against the doorway. She just watches it for a moment, expressionless, before commenting.]

I think this is probably a better activity for the recreation room.

[She's not gonna laugh, she's not gonna laugh. Oh no, that'd probably just be mean and--

She's totally laughing.]

Hi, Kageyama? [A shake of her head.] Are you guys okay there?

It was completely rude! You're just trying to help him make new friends.

[ oh, good. that saves her a round of scolding. ]

Yeah! I didn't see you for a while... did you fall asleep, too?

[ in the background, kageyama is making a disgrunted face unseen by the comm/video. he told hinata "no!" why is he the rude one? ]

I'm not bad. Hinata is just a dumbass. I said "no" more than once. [ he's kind of ignoring that friends comment. kageyama has never been particular good at the making friends thing. not until recently, anyway. ]

Yeah! Kageyama did, too... I guess a lot of people fell asleep when we were on the Marsiva.

[ kageyama looks up from hinata who's probably okay-- it was just a volleyball-- laying there on the floor. it's a woman. he hasn't seen her before, not for the couple of days he was awake. if he did, he doesn't remember her. but the minute "recreation room" comes out of her mouth, kageyama is getting to his feet. ]

There's a recreation room?

[hinata looks over his shoulder.]

If you're not bad, don't call me "dumbass!"

[he's gonna lift the comm up to show kageyama more.]

Say hi to Vima! She's the pilot on my ship!

There's one on every ship, stupid.

[muttering that from the ground, before he looks up.]

Ah!! Sorry!

[SCRAMBLING TO HIS FEET AND BOWING]

I didn't mean to be so loud.

Then don't be a dumbass in the first place! [ he looks angry, but then hinata is lifting up the comm and kageyama's pissed off face sort of fades into a less pissed off expression. a pilot, huh? that's kind of cool, he guesses. kageyama tugs at the collar of his shirt, looking away. one might even call kageyama a little shy-- but probably not to his face. ] ...Hey.

"Nanako-chan?"

[ kageyama hears the voice before he sees the girl that it belongs to, and with hinata still playing it up on the floor (it was just a volleyball ok really, he's taken one to the face before), kageyama kneels down and pulls the orange-haired mess up by the back of his shirt. he even dusts him off a little before putting the comm back in his hands. he's not sure if he wants to handle it yet. ]

...Hi. And he's fine. This guy is an idiot, anyway, so don't worry about him. [ what he means is "hinata does stupid things all the time, so it's his own fault" which isn't very nice, either, but it probably would sound nicer than what he's said. oh well.

though he's somewhat cut off thanks to where he's placed the comm, he looks at hinata as if he expects him to chime in and agree. ]

[he's scowling up at him from where he stands, before he looks back at the comm.]

... jerk.

I'm fine, Kageyama's not that strong.

[well 1. hinata's already her shipmate and 2... Vima's kind of obnoxious herself. ~~as we see~~]

There's nothing wrong with wanting to help your friend out a little! Hi, Kageyama. [okay the thought of hinata being friends with a guy like this is hilarious and also she has to know more.] So Atroma grabbed you too, huh? What do you do when you're not an unwilling entertainer?

[from off-screen]

Uh-huh! Big Bro is here and he transferred to the Three Twins, so we're on the same ship now!

[ she's obviously very pleased with this, if the way she's beaming is any indication. but she does wave to kageyama when he says her name... even if he might not be in the screen. ]

It's nice to meet you!

[Furiosa watches the two. Their energy reminded her of the antics of young Warboys. She's not sure how to feel about the connection.]

Be as loud as you want, just do it somewhere that can take the beating. [Her tone isn't unkind, but she's definitely not at her peak right now.]

[Another laugh.] Iiiif you guys say so. That scream was just pretty loud, you know?

[And funny.

But she'll try not to actually say that out loud.]

[ kageyama reaches out a hand and grab's the top of hinata's head with it for that remark and squeezes him. it might be offscreen but hinata will probably make some kind of noise to indicate he's in Danger. ]

What did you say? You mean "helps me practice," right? [ for a moment he looks pissed as he stares hinata down before looking at the screen. then, his expression evens out a little. he doesn't really get the "unwilling entertainer" bit for the most part, because, well. ... just look at the two of them. ]

Ah. I play volleyball back home with this guy and my other teammates.
