[Clay was having a good time exploring the temples. He was all about them temples. So, of course, he feels very bitter about having to cut the exploration short due to catching a cold. A cold. And on top of that, one of his crewmates is gone. He was about to tell Koushiro that hey, the captain caught a cold too, and... well. Normally he'd bounce back from all this and move on, but with the cold quickly and progressively getting worse and worse...

So he's in his bed, covers up over his head and very. Very. Bored. And it's only been a day since he was ordered bed rest! He could be exploring the temples more. He could be learning about the salt mines. He could be continuing his research for his star charts, but no, that has to be put off too. Ugh, this will mess him up...

With a groan, he rolls over, pats for his device, and decides to type since he doesn't want to cough in everyone's faces:]

[Yikes, he sounds just as bad in person, if not worse now that he's got a physical image to go with the voice. Kirito smiles sympathetically and heads over to the bed, offering a small box out to Clay.

Inside is a sealed container for liquids, some extra tissue, and a couple of card decks.]

The essentials. I brought tea. Lemon flavour's not as good as the real deal, but it's still helpful for sore throats.

[He's kind of hoping there is some hint of actual lemon in the synthetic flavouring. If nothing else, it's a placebo?]

[Clay sits up a bit to look at this box, though he has to stop to cough into the inside of his elbow. Moving around a bit too much makes this rattling in his chest, you see. But once he's done, he'll take the box with a light smile.]

It doesn't take that much more effort to make some tea.

[If he'd brought over a meal, that would be one thing, but he has no idea what Clay even eats or the extent of his illness. Tea's a harmless offer regardless of how sick you are.]

No, I mean, here I thought you were just bringing cards. But tea too? And tissues?

[Which... yes, he'll take one of those tissues to wipe at his nose, though not blow into it yet. Kind of embarrassing to do in front of other people and all.]

It already is. [He says it with a big smile, though not quite with as much enthusiasm as he usually would - too sick to put his best oomph into his words. But hey, he is genuine; just knowing Kirito cares like this has made him feel better!]

So what games do you know? I actually don't know much card games - I'm usually kind of bad at them. Those ones where you have to bluff always get me.

In that case, we should probably avoid poker.

[That's his best game, admittedly, but he's not here to win so much as entertain, so anything will do. Hmm, though...]

We need a game with only two players, and one where you won't have to talk much. That limits the options somewhat, but... ah, we could play Page One?
