004 - Text; oh space balls

[Clay was having a good time exploring the temples. He was all about them temples. So, of course, he feels very bitter about having to cut the exploration short due to catching a cold. A cold. And on top of that, one of his crewmates is gone. He was about to tell Koushiro that hey, the captain caught a cold too, and... well. Normally he'd bounce back from all this and move on, but with the cold quickly and progressively getting worse and worse...
So he's in his bed, covers up over his head and very. Very. Bored. And it's only been a day since he was ordered bed rest! He could be exploring the temples more. He could be learning about the salt mines. He could be continuing his research for his star charts, but no, that has to be put off too. Ugh, this will mess him up...
With a groan, he rolls over, pats for his device, and decides to type since he doesn't want to cough in everyone's faces:]

im a pilot?? here and on my wrold too i mean
and ive been trying to make star charts and maps of stuff here so i can maybe figure out where we are and where our path might be taking us

I've been trying to teach myslef how to use them because the ones we have at home are for ship navigation on the sea
but star charts for space are a whole new dimension
I'm getting headaches trying to work out how to do it but I think I'm getting the hang!

theyre a little tricky to get the hang of esp since we don't have the proper equipment for it
but i think i figured out a good workaround until i can get my hands on some good ones
