( This time when Lydia awakes it's easier. No screaming, but still confusion. She's still in her Eichen House gown, hair messy and limbs feeling tired - achy from the lack of use even though it's only been a few days.

The first few seconds - maybe even first minute - of the transmission are met with silence, the image showing Lydia looking around the room, walking closer to the walls to examine them. After all that's just happened, after being trapped in her head, it's hard for Lydia to know whether this is real or not. Touching the wall helps slightly, but everything with Meredith had felt just as real )

Is it real? ( Her voice is soft, a little confused - dazed. There's something of a fog in Lydia's mind that isn't just from the recent events. Like there's something that she should remember but is having trouble with - or somewhere ) It isn't Eichen House.

( Not Eichen House. Possibly real. The only places that Lydia had seen in her head were places that she'd been before. If only waking up in unfamiliar places wasn't so unusual for Lydia )

( It's a few hours later when Lydia's roaming around the ship. She'd wanted to wait to see if there were any answers to her question, and to get her bearings some more with what there was. There was little in the room that Lydia could find for herself - or of her own things. No other clothes, no belongings or familiar items.

As Lydia walks the hallways, still in her Eichen House clothes, there's an occasional hand touching the wall. Although Lydia has heard answers, and even spoken to some that are familiar, she wants to know. Be sure. Be sure that there isn't something about the Dread Doctors involved here - that it's really happening. Lydia doesn't know what she's looking for. Someone in person to really confirm it? Food? New clothes would definitely be nice. It might take a few hours - or a day or two before the reality of this really sets in. Being in space? So different to supernatural creatures )

[ it'll be a second before he responds. holy shit. holy shit. ]

Lydia?

It- doesn't matter.

( There's a small frown and Lydia turns around to try to look at whoever's talking to her. Wherever the transmission is coming from )

Where are we?

It's real. [Octavia pauses, noticing the girl's state.]

Hey, you okay?

Um.

Space.

It's kind of a complicated situation.

( Hearing Stiles' voice makes Lydia pause - her hand halfway to the wall stopping midair as she turns, first looking for him, then dropping as she answers )

Stiles? Where are you?

( There's a slow nod, a pause before Lydia actually speaks again. People are there. The pause gives Lydia a few seconds to think - to try and push aside a little of her confusion )

I've just been kidnapped to- somewhere. ( The words aren't said quite as quickly or with her normal sharper edge, but this isn't normal. Unexpectedly waking up isn't normal ) Is that supposed to be okay?

[Lydia's wanderings will eventually find her in one of the little side rooms on the hospitality deck, where there's a blue haired punk girl sprawled out with a movie playing on one of the monitors.]

[It's terrible and she doesn't care she likes it. But the motion near the door gets her attention, and she looks over in time to catch Lydia's eye, and holds up a tattoo'd arm in greeting.]

Yo.

I don't know if complicated covers it.

( Whether that's just because of here or her general life isn't clear )

[She snorts, she can't help it. There's a one shouldered shrug with a soft smile.]

For most of us, not at all. A couple others are used to it, though. [A pause, then she appears sort of awkward.]

Uh, you're in space, by the way.

Maybe we can start somewhere smaller? I'm Nova. I've been here a few months and it's really weird for me too.

( The voice, the arm- it draws Lydia's attention in, her eyes fixing on the screen for a few seconds before she changes her gaze to the other girl in the room )

What is it?

( Not a movie that she's ever seen before )

I know it might seem a bit much, but it's definitely real, I promise. [ Hermione does her best to smile. ] I felt the same way when I woke up here and that was just a few days ago.

Lydia. ( There's a short pause, another little frown ) If we're in space what are we on?

[Chloe grins and shrugs.] The Spirits Within. It's some CGI bullshit from like, fifteen years ago.

It's pretty terrible.

[But it was better than a lot of the other junk she'd found on there...]

You're on a ship called the Marsiva. I'm on another ship called the First Breath. There's a bunch of the smaller ships, which is why we're called a fleet, I guess.

I've been kidnapped before.

( It's unsettling, and happened far more times than it should have. At home and- somewhere else. Another world? It's part of the memories that aren't quite there )

I don't think I've been to space.

A few days?

( There's a slightly distant expression on Lydia's face. The situation- here, home. There's a memory that Lydia can't quite place, and for some reason there's something about this girl that seems familiar to her. The accent stands out, and Lydia doesn't know whether it's from school or somewhere else. Somewhere she can't remember )

What happened?

[ he knows that voice. he knows that voice very well. there's a lot to process, too. did she say Eichen House? ]

Lydia?

[ he'll actually have a proper reaction soon. maybe. ]

On the station right now. -- that doesn't matter, uh. You're on the Marsiva, you're safe for now, I promise. Are you okay?

[ because the color has drained from his face and he hasn't missed the fact that she came here from Eichen. ]

Tell me you're okay. Please.

[Octavia doesn't address either of those directly. There's probably a long and or personal story there. That can wait. Instead, she opts for the explanation.]

Well, you're here now. Actually, you're on the Marsiva, the main ship in the Fleet. Aside from the people around you, the rest of us are on a space station. [Another, awkward pause, where she visibly rubs the back of her neck.]

Uh, the quickest way to put this, you've been abducted to be part of a space reality show. And yeah, I know how that sounds.

As real as it gets, unfortunately. [Not that he can blame her for asking. Sometimes, this whole experience feels like a dream.]

How many ships are there?

I think so. ( It's more confusion than any hurt running through Lydia. Confusion at being here, at even being awake. She doesn't feel and danger but something still feels wrong ) Why are we here?

A space reality show? ( There's a heavy amount of disbelief in Lydia's voice. That's absurd, strange girl ) Who's watching if we're in space?
