Who: Atoli and you!
Broadcast: fleetwide
Action: ss heron if you like!
When: now
[VIDEO]
Hello there!
[It's been a while since Atoli's shown herself over the network like this. It makes her feel kind of nostalgic. At the same time she just really wants to reach out to other people and speak with them. There isn't much for her to do alone after all.]
I have a quick question for you all . What kind of games do you know? I thought I'd ask because we come from different places. Personally I enjoy playing fun games with other people, but lately that's hard to do. We are in space after all.
[Feeling a little homesick here and there. It seems to be a common thing as far as Atoli knows. She's not alone on this.]
Adjusting to life here is really difficult for me. How do I put it? It's like being in another country far away. Anyone else feel like that?

action; heron
Leanne manages to catch the tail end of that broadcast, not too long before she actually comes across Atoli.
She pauses when she sees her, before huffing out a laugh.] Hi!
I saw... [A shake of her head.] It sort of does feel like being in another country, huh?
no subject
[Atoli looks down at the grown and swings her hands back and forth nervously. It's not unusual for crew members to be here although talking up front makes her feel more self conscious.]
How have you been doing so far?
action, on the heron!
Ah! There you are. [ She gives a friendly smile. ] I know all sorts of games - board games, card games, video games... I haven't been able to find the board or video games here, obviously, but I do have a deck of cards! [ A small laugh! ] I like meeting people through games, too.
You're right, though. This is all very... foreign. [ There's a small pause... and she shakes her head before she continues. ] Do you want to talk?
action
[Atoli tries her best to smile despite her worries. It's like she finally found people she talk to. This is no time for her to be upset! She gathers up any courage she has inside of her and uses it to strike up a conversation.]
Thanks for listening to me. What's your name?
[She's kind of new here so it's normal that she wouldn't know Kotoha's name immediately.]

action, aboard the Heron.
[Shinji more or less blurts out his answer as soon as he sees Atoli in person. This is a member of the crew he hasn't introduced himself to yet... and that's because he spent most of his first week hiding in his bunk. For now, he's out and about, if looking a little disheveled. He needs to brush his hair.
And his introduction is turning into nervous rambling.]
It's, uh... it's... paper that you fold into shapes, like people. You have them fight each other. That... probably sounds weird, but it can be fun. It used to play it at school.
video
[With a hint of surprise and shock.]
That's not good. What kind of game was it though?
video
All kinds of games. Some of them really shouldn't be called games, but... That doesn't really matter. I think the only ones I can really make happen here are simple ones like 'two truths and a lie'.
action
In fact, I'm pretty interested in it. It'll be fun I just know!
[The fighting part kind of reminds her of arena matches. This time it's just paper fighting each other. Sounds harmless right?]
Can we try?
no subject
[Another shake of her head.] I'm fine. It's still been really fun. How about you? Are you, um, getting used to the ship?

It is weird, you have a point. I know what you mean though. [You receive such an odd experience that you'd never expect in your life time. Atoli frowns at that.]
I just get home sick that's all. [It's hard to be away from home for long periods of time. She'll cope eventually.]
video
The objective of the game is to find the liar right?
no subject
[Atoli explains. She's heard of the term before but only because it originates from Japanese culture.]
How do you make it?
[She'll carefully listen to Shinji's explanation and memorize it well.]

Video
[Her voice is calm, and her expression reassuring. Her attempt at letting Atoli know that she is not alone if she is feeling a little homesick.]

[ It's cool, Kotoha's been keeping herself busy with jobs on the station, so she hasn't been around enough to actually meet any of the new kids properly. ]

If she can focus on being in space, she doesn't have to worry about missing Ebel City and her friends.]
I think I get it. I guess we... We still weren't expecting to end up here or anything, right?
[A grin.] But everyone on the ship's still awesome!
no subject
Anyway, what you have to do is... [Locating the nearest available surface, he takes a sheet of paper and shows Atoli how to fold it into a roughly human-shaped figure. He speaks slowly, carefully; he doesn't want to stutter from nervousness.]
