[Chris is just gonna have to deal and sulk while Cole carries him.]

Are you kidding me? I don't think I'm taking it far enough.

[ That's exactly what Chris has to do. Ugh. How far is Cole going to take him? ]

You are definitely taking it further than you need to.

[Just to right here. Where Cole drops him onto the ground.]

No, I really don't think I am. What were you thinking, hiding that from me?

[ Chris thumps to the floor, then gets to his feet rather like that hadn't just happened. ]

That it wasn't important! It doesn't make a difference in the end. We get hurt all the time in this family, it's just what happens. You should know that, too!

And that makes it better? Chris, you should have told me that you were that much weaker in your human form! [sighs] I've been working under the assumption that you were closer to me in durability and you're not.

[misconceived]

[ Chris shakes his head. ] So what? I can still do what needs to be done, I can still fight just like I always have. Just because I get hit a little harder doesn't mean anything!

[devilsinthedetails]

It means everything. [As he says it, he moves and pushes Chris lightly.] You're a demon, you're supposed to take most hits and shrug them off. But you can't. You're as vulnerable as any human and that's dangerous when I don't know!

[ There's only a half-step to his stumble when Cole pushes Chris. He stands up to it, not even remotely backing down. ]

It's dangerous no matter what! Everything is dangerous in our lives! This is who I am, I've been this way my whole life, knowing about it now isn't going to make anything change. You can't start distracting yourself worrying about me.

[That only encourages Cole to push Chris again, this time a bit harder.]

You shouldn't be making it more dangerous for yourself by hiding this from us. What if you push yourself into a situation where you get injured past the point of being able to be healed? And no matter what, I'm always going to worry about you.

[ Another stumble, and now Chris is starting to change his stance up. It's defensive, but not passive. If he weren't getting so riled up, he'd see what Cole's doing but Chris is moving right past that and only reacting. ]

I wasn't hiding anything! It's not my fault none of you ever noticed. Which, by the way, is my point. You're making it into a bigger deal than it is, because I can handle it!

[It was easy for Cole to see that Chris wasn't getting the point of what he was saying, so he was going to try a different route than just shouting at him.]

Chris, you hide everything from us. Who you are, what you are, what you were truly doing in the past. Every step of the way, it had to be pulled out of you! You hid this from us because you think we're going to react a certain way, even when it's obvious that I won't!

How the hell do you know?! [ Chris isn't just going to sit and take this. He moves forward, taking the turn to push Cole this time. It's already a shove because he knows for a fact his father wouldn't budge to anything less. ] You don't! You don't know anything about me, because you're not supposed to yet! Now you learn about this and the first thing you do is try to make me stand down because of my faults!

Do you think I have to raise you to know you? [He stumbles back a step from being shoved before surging forward and pushing him back. Two can play this game.] I haven't been just sitting around and ignoring you the entire time you've been around! I've been trying to know you and all you do is keep me away because you're afraid!

[ That push sends Chris two steps back and he rebounds to give another shove. They're basically cornering each other now and he's getting wrapped up in the physicality as much as the actual argument. ]

This isn't about me! This is about Wyatt and saving the world, and I'm not going to let something so stupid keep me from finishing this!

[On the plus side, it still hasn't gotten bad enough for either of them to switch into demon form. But now Cole is going to try pushing Chris hard enough to knock him to the floor.]

Right here and right now, this is about you! You can't hide behind your mission and Wyatt anymore, Chris. There isn't a mission for you to complete here.

[ Moving to shove Cole has put him off kilter, so Chris falls. While he gets up, his hand thrusts out and he pushes enough to send Cole into the wall. They might not be switching forms yet, but that doesn't mean magic isn't going to show up anywhere. ]

Just because we're not at home doesn't mean the mission is over! It just means now we have to get back. Are you giving up on me? This isn't over until I know everything is all right!

[He hits the wall with some force and is able to stay on his feet, if not a bit wobbly until he really gets his balance back. Then he takes a step forward, swinging his arm horizontally in front of him to slam Chris into a wall. If it's going to be a magic fight, then Cole's going to use magic.]

I'm never going to give up on you. The question here is are you going to make a stupid mistake because you're too stubborn to admit that you're wrong? Are you willing to give up everything for your mission? Do you really want to die that badly?

[ Ow. Chris ends up a bit stunned from the force of the unyielding wall against his back, merely holding himself up with its help before he shakes his head. His face twists, features morphing to match the anger bubbling up at those painfully pointed questions. No one even has access to these buttons Cole insists on pressing, aiming to make Chris think and all it's doing right now is making things worse.

Patrobas rushes forward to take Cole's lapels and shove him hard into the wall behind him. He's still in control, but this way they'll be at more of an even keel on the physical level. ]

No! I don't want to die! You can't just assume you know what it's like. I would give everything to fix this, Dad. Anything. Almost anything. They kept telling me I should just kill him, and I won't. This has to work!

[Ah, there he is. Patrobas. Cole was wondering when Chris would be pushed to relying on his demon side to keep up with him. It was inevitable when they got into physical altercations and this meant that Cole didn't have to hold back nearly as much.

He grunts when he hits the wall and as he reaches up to grab Chris's hands, weak energy balls form in his hands and he slams them into Chris's skin to get him to pull back.]

Then why toss yourself into unnecessary danger if not for some ridiculous notion that you want to die? You'll save Wyatt, but not if you die! Pay attention to yourself for once! You nearly didn't exist because you were so caught up in saving your cousin!

[misconceived]

[ Chris reels when the energy slaps onto the backs of his hands, shock more than pain driving him. He lets go, takes a step back, doesn't look at all like he's ready to let up. Electricity arcs over his hands, down his knuckles to the tips of his fingers. He clenches his fists, lets another bolt crackle over, then they stop. ]

Unnecessary? None of this is unnecessary! I'm not putting myself in any more danger than I have to! And... and I just lost track of time. I'm sorry, I didn't realize things weren't on track, but we fixed it! All right?!
