Where I come from, an Impact refers to a mysterious planet-altering catastrophe. In the place that I last was, Second Impact had turned the world's oceans red with blood, and many creatures on Earth have died and even been eradicated completely. The human population was halved by the event. [For once he's unsmiling, wholly solemn. In a word, what he feels is guilt.] It was hard. Some nations didn't recover.

However, I come from a time after a Third Impact occurred. The damage is compounded. There is even less life to behold following this event. Some areas are entirely uninhabitable. But humans are trying their best to survive. They always do.
