Who: Members of the Huntress and visitors!
Action: The U.S.S. Huntress!
When: It's a mingle for the month of March!

[ it's that time of year! also, pr was on hiatus for a bit, and needs to throw herself into things, so indulge me!! ]
nerdeology: (with the giant statue that-)

[Huh. That's unexpected.]

Can you feel it, as well?

Jedi are connected to the Living Force. It's how I noticed you, after all. We're sensitive to the changes in the lifeflow of the universe.

[He nods, lightly drumming a finger to his chin as he considers this, casually tossing the water back to the sink. Not a drop of it spills.]

I'm sure it's similar... so you can understand my issue.

I'm less connected than you are, but yes. I do understand why it would feel out of place.

I'd hoped that the parks on the station would help a little, but it's a similar problem on a much larger scale. There's more nature in those areas, and thus more connected and lively, but at the same time, it feels too fake to be normal. The whole experience is disturbing.

[He's really hoping they go to a planet soon, ugh. little does he know]

It's an unfortunate reality when it comes to life in space.

[ All of this is far too normal for Obi-Wan to think too deeply about. ]
nerdeology: (okay. okay. let me think.)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-03-30 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Unfortunate is an understatement. I wish there was an older seraph in the fleet- someone who might have some experience with this kind of separation.

Perhaps you need to purchase a plant. Or make a terrarium.
nerdeology: (i just know he likes telling stories.)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-03-30 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm.

[That sounds like more of an earth seraphim thing. But... actually, that makes him think-]

Fish. I know someone with an aquarium, maybe I could find something like that. Water, and life... it's something, at least.

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-03-30 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
It's not a perfect solution, but it should help.
nerdeology: (what? i said nothing)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-03-31 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
The hard part is probably finding both a tank and the fish to fill it. I haven't seen anything like that on the station that I can recall.

[ He rubs his beard. ]

Can someone make one?
nerdeology: (sorey no)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-04-01 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
If we found the materials somewhere, probably. The real challenge would be the fish.

[It's not like the station is particularly lively.]

I won't take unwilling fish from the wild, assuming we even find a natural source for them anywhere. It would be cruel.

[He's not exactly a tree hugger, but residents of the water are sort of kindred spirits. He's not that selfish.]

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-04-01 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
[ He nods. Obi-Wan has a similar stance on pets. Anyone who takes them away from their worlds. ]

I've never been fond of the idea of taking animals away from their worlds.
nerdeology: (you're born of mistakes)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-04-01 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
Mm.

[Mikleo just nods, considering it with furrowed brows. Now he's wondering about Clay, and where he got his fish. Were they free...? Would it be too judgmental to ask?]

I'll wait and see how it goes, anyway. There's no sense in worrying about it now.
beardstrokes: (If you ignore the past)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-04-01 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
It will be a while until you can find a solution.

[ And it'll be too optimistic to expect to have one immediately. ]
nerdeology: (YES they can have relations but)

[personal profile] nerdeology 2016-04-01 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
I can wait. Seraphim are naturally patient.

[Which is technically a giant lie, but he mostly believes it.]
beardstrokes: (Can shake the greatest belief)

[personal profile] beardstrokes 2016-04-01 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
[ Far be it for him to dissuade Mikleo of that. ]

I'm sure.
