[ The broadcast is short and to-the-point. Nova's not really one for belaboring something, but she's also bored and curious. For those who have met her before, she looks a little more well-rested than she has lately, her long hair in a neat braid ]

I know there are some people from Aather here, but I'm curious—I mean, if you want to talk about it—has anyone else had their memory... messed with? Taken away and given back? I guess you wouldn't know if it had just been taken away... Or, I don't know.

If you haven't had something like that, do you ever just get new information? I don't think I'm explaining this right.

[ she looks mildly annoyed and ends the video ]

My teammate who was here before, Lark, said when she arrived, she got some of her memories back that she never regained at the castle. Do you mean like that?

But that didn't happen to you?

I'd been there a lot longer than she had, though, so I had a lot more memories back to begin with.

Oh, no. I was... at a guess, about halfway through my mirror when I was brought here. So, nowhere close.

Mirror? What do you mean?

[She takes a moment before she responds, having to organize her thoughts.]

There, we had these... Well, we woke up in front of empty mirror frames, with only one shard in it. When we won games, our memories and skills came back in the form of shards of that mirror we had to put into it to see the memory or get the skill. Of course, our team's shards all came back in a pile, and nothing was labeled as to whose was whose, so that was awkward.

Oh. That's different... That's not how it worked for us.

We'd just get different objects that had to do with the games when we won. They imparted the memories.

That sounds... awkward, but also way more convenient than a pile of broken glass.

... On the other hand, I can think of a few Echoes I would never trust to give 'items that have to do with the games'.

I don't know what yours were like, but... I can't say much about the ones I knew, for obvious reasons.

Oh, we called ours Personae. There were some good ones and some bad ones.

We had a few good ones too, at least.

This is a conundrum, Takeshi thinks. Because he knows — he knowed Katniss. From the Tranquility, he knowed her. He also knew Prim, for a short time. She was such a nice girl... always so nice to him, back when he was much more afraid and much easier to scare.

There was always lots of memory problems, where I was before. But that's 'cus the ship was bad. It wasn't like the ships here.
