It helps in some ways, yes. But I do worry, because she's my child and this place can be unsettling, it seems.

It is. [For so many reasons.] I can honestly say I haven't been in a situation quite like this before.

Me either. It's certainly not something I'd have considered plausible before. Possible yes, but not impossible.

I know I didn't think I'd see space in my lifetime. Not like this.

I am, yes. [He smiles a bit at that, waving a hand.] But I'm not sure that narrows it down much, given the variety of people here.

Not even a bit. What I know is it's a temperate world with a variety of disparate nations. Most planets where I'm from with such a climate are unified under a single government.

[grandstanding]

[That sounds familiar, given Luke Skywalker said much the same thing to him.]

I have to admit, it's a concept I can't see working on Earth. I doubt any nation would agree on who gets to rule the entire planet.
