[He wakes up with a little gasp, immediately alert. Poe's not the world's lightest sleeper, but this bunk is way too comfortable, and it doesn't have the vague locker room smell of a Resistance base or the much mankier version that builds up after living in the cockpit of an x-wing for a couple of days.

Definitely doesn't look familiar.]

Huh. What the--

[This is not the first time in recent memory that Poe's woken up in an unfamiliar place. It's a sad measure of his life that this is by far the best one yet. He's not lost in a burning-hot desert with a pennelx-egg-sized bump on his head and no memory of who he is. Yep, still Poe Dameron, first thing he checks. And he's not strapped to the galaxy's most uncomfortable chair and waiting for the next deeply unpleasant conversation with either an Imperial interrogator or Kylo Ren (jury is still out on which of those was actually worse, he tries to not think about it at all).

So really, it could be a lot worse. Even though there does seem to be something going on with his neck, which is probably bad.

Sit up, look around, look down. Well, he's still got his orange flight suit, insignia and everything, but it's clean. So... that's nice. It's also a giant, flashing, hi, I'm with the Resistance sign, which is--good? Bad?

He slips out of bed and tries the door. Open. Okay. Peers out.]

Hello?

[Yeah, great move, Dameron. Warn the laundry-loving kidnappers that you're up and about. Excellent spy work. Well. Why not.]

Jess? Karé? Iolo?

[Maybe this is just some kind of elaborate prank. Sure, Dameron. And while you're imagining things, how about--]

Poe!

[Finally! Someone from his world that actually recognizes him (and isn't from thirty years in the past)! Though of course he's showed up on the Marsiva after Finn's already been shuffled off. Still, Finn can't hide his grin.]

[Wait, is that... that's his jacket, isn't it? And Finn looks--]

You look--uh. You look great. [Smooth.] Are you okay? How long have you been up. [He manages to swallow down, the medics said...]

[Kitty watches him adjust to his surroundings, taking it in before responding herself.]

Mmm, the last name rings some bells, but the first ones are all blanks. Then again it takes awhile to meet everyone. [Two months in and she hasn't managed it.]

[Last name--Finn. Finn! Okay. That's something.]

So you know Finn? About my height, darker skin, short, curly hair, really brave? That sound about right?

I didn't see him tame a lion or anything, but the description sounds right. He showed up about a week ago I guess. [Feel free to let that be confusing for a second.]

I'm guessing you're not Rey on account of not being a girl.

[IT IS SUCH A RELIEF TO HAVE SOMEONE RECOGNIZE HIM.] Unmapped sector, maybe even in another galaxy. And I'm gonna warn you now, there's something weird with time here.

[Which he takes as "you sure don't look dead", since that's what Finn's assuming was the outcome of the battle. Oops.] Mostly okay, yeah. Got a new scar. I've been here about a week, on the Caprine now.

[A week ago...? Yep, that is confusing. Just a day ago, he'd been in medical. So how. The confusion definitely shows on Poe's face.]

...a week ago? But--but he's up and around, right? All in one piece? [Extreme weirdness or not, that has to be good news.]

Last time I checked, at least. No, the name's Poe. Poe Dameron. What's yours?

Another--how? But yeah, I'm getting the idea. 'cause I saw you yesterday, Finn. [And you scared the hell out of me.]

Scar? On your back? [That would almost make sense, considering.]

Okay. Caprine. Got it. Just gotta find a ship and I'll be right there. [Going to start really hunting around. There's got to be an escape pod, even, right?]

[Him being surprised about the week is nothing new. She's more curious about the concern. Kitty had started wondering if Finn was coming from a "would be dead otherwise" sort of place like her, but maybe it was just a serious injury since he's surprised but not shocked and still asking for him.] First of all, a week is nothing. If you're anything like Finn you're about to meet people from 10 years and more into your past. So, just strap in and take it as it comes.

Secondly, Finn seemed fine, but he was looking for a doctor to check him out just in case. The Atroma probably patched him up on arrival.

And I'm Kitty Pryde. Or Kitty. Kitty Pryde if you prefer. [Smirking a little.]

[Finn looks around furtively.] You don't know half of it. We got people from the middle of the Clone Wars here.

--Yeah. So you know about that, huh?

[He has to grin, though.] No way to get off the Marsiva until they assign you to a ship. Believe me, I looked.

[Okay, that's enough to give him pause.] How? Who?

Yeah. [So Finn knows about that.] Last time I saw you--you were in medical. You weren't awake to see me.

Damn. How long am I going to be stuck here?

Beats me how. But I bet you've heard of General Kenobi.

[Finn actually sighs, looking relieved.] So it didn't--uh. That is. I made it back to the base?

Up to a week, but I was only there a couple days.

Ten years--how is that even possible?

Okay. Okay good. [So much relief in a few words. Finn's okay. He's up and around. That's... good. Really good. As weird as the circumstances are, he'll take that.]

Nice to meet you, Kitty. You sound like you're in the know. What is going on here?

General Kenobi? The General Kenobi? [Fanboy mode: ready to activate.]

Well yeah. Of course! We weren't going to just leave you on Starkiller. Rey and Chewbacca had you, and we escorted the three of you back to D'Qar. [And he caught hell for it later, for disobeying orders, and could not care less.] You were going to be okay. [He hopes. Seeing Finn like that had scared the hell out of him, but he hadn't died. The rest is details.]

Not too long, then. That's... good. Could get kind of stir crazy in here.

I'm actually just rounding out month two here. [But that does mean she hasn't told the "why you are here" story enough to be completely over it and it did give her decent time for exploring and asking questions.]

But we were all taken by The Atroma who we don't know much about to star in a reality television show...mm, make that holo...something for you. Holonovel? [Leia and Finn had both used it. Oh well, moving on.] The point is we have an audience. We get paid for keeping them entertained and we fly around on ships playing whatever part they assigned us. [This is normally where she covers the augments, but when she mentioned it to Laura the girl tried to cut it out of her neck with no one there with her. So, maybe just keeping that part to herself for now.]

And the ten year thing. [She shrugs.] Time, distance, and dimension aren't really obstacles for whatever tech or magic they've got on this. It gets weirder before it makes more sense.

The one and only. There's at least half a dozen Jedi here. [Finn sounds very excited about it - and why not? Obi-Wan's going to teach him how to use a lightsaber without making a fool of himself.]

So they got out too? That's--Poe, that's great! I thought for sure we were done for.

You're telling me. I was kinda freaked out. But I think I saw someone else just show up? So you might not be all by yourself there.

[That's kind of stunning, going from a galaxy where there's only one--one he'd gone on a mission to try to find--to half a dozen.] Half a dozen.

We got them home safe and sound. You completed your mission. You're getting pretty good at that.

Better than being stuck alone, true. Were you by yourself?

Two months still makes you way more of an old hand than me.

...a holonovel. [He's going to have to chew that over for a while. But his initial reaction is, well, still better than being tortured by the First Order. When that's your baseline for suck, it's hard to not see improvements everywhere.] What kind of parts? [Is he going to get transported off this ship only to get told he's now supposed to be the Sexy Medtech or something?]

It's already plenty weird.

Including Luke Skywalker. But he's pretty young, too. [He didn't bother to ask what year Luke was from, but it was pretty obvious it couldn't have been too long after the fall of the Empire.]

It's not like I didn't have help. [Is he looking a little embarrassed there?] Unless there's someone else in a black X-Wing who made that bombing run?

--Yeah. Creepy being in a ship all by myself.

[The augment can bring the medtech, but only you can bring the sexy.] I'm a pilot on the Windrose. There's also, engineers, security, lab techs, maintenance. That kind of thing. It could even name you captain but you'd still have some other duty.

[There's a young togruta girl waving at the video feed.]

Hey there. You're a friend of Finn's?

[Here, have a girl who looks like a teenager, wearing a gaudy shirt that reads "World's Sexiest Captain" and looking generally amused by everything.]

Nice suit. That come in other colors?

[You know what sucks? Being kidnapped to space of course. But you know what sucks even more? Being kidnapped and shoved into a ship that's been completely void of life for a whole day. Especially when Sora was not a person who enjoyed the silence]

[So of course, when he thinks he hears someone- he's going to go to investigate. So Poe will hear the voice of someone who sounds young- probably because when you see him, he is in fact a rather short and young teenager]

Luke Skywalker is here? [First though: well, no wonder no one could find him. Second thought: ...wait, that's probably not it.]
