[The video clicks on to an unusual-looking man with maroon skin and a yellow gem set into his forehead. Though he's been a familiar sight around the Windrose, the Vision doesn't tend to post much so he wouldn't be surprised if there are many unfamiliar with him.

This is a special occasion, however. There's even what looks like a cake in the background.]

There was a slight time differential between my last memories of home and the calendar here. Namely, I seem to have missed the month of June entirely. Given that lack, today is the three hundred sixty-fifth day since I was created.

Accordingly, there is cake and ice cream on the Windrose for any who should care to visit.

[He pauses and furrows his brow slightly.]

I cannot vouch for the taste of either, but I assure you they received the highest ratings from the shops they were purchased at.

[His track record is certainly behind him there, as evidenced by the various plants around the cargo bay.]

Oh, well of course! Can't turn down cake at a birthday party, can we?

[He'll serve her a piece, and it actually is quite good even if the flavor is something rather exotic.]

[Said with some amount of surprise. It's more than doing well, she's been actually happy over these past few weeks.]

Even Mother's Day was very nice. Much better than last year.

I'm very glad to hear that.

[Mother's Day had passed him by completely - even if Dr. Cho had been here, her role in helping make him was entirely under Ultron's mind control anyway, so he typically doesn't count her among his creators.]

Oh, and I've completed work on a device to manage Wrath's nannites. Have you made progress as well?

[She nods.] I think I'll be ready - as soon as I have the appropriate surgical suite.

I've been acquiring what equipment I can. Please do let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

[He wants his first mate to be able to do her job :c or at least to not turn into a pile of goo after yelling at the Stalker.]

I will. This has already dragged out too long for Wrath. She deserves better.

[He nods. Yes, it's true that some injuries never heal, but when it's primarily lack of resources holding them back rather than anything else--he can only imagine what Beverly is going through as a doctor.]

She is patient, but I'd rather see her sleeping in her own room than the armory.

[Not just as a doctor: as Wrath's friend, too.

Her brow furrows with concern at this new information.]

She's sleeping in the armory?

She finds the ladders to our bunks difficult to traverse. There is sufficient space for a cot in the armory.

[Yeah it's not ideal.]

A cot!

[This will not do! Spacegirlfriend needs a real bed!]

That must be terrible for her back. If you all need a mattress for her, I will gladly help you get one.

I have a mattress I don't use, in fact, but the armory's door is too narrow for it to fit.

[He kind of sleeps hovering two feet off the ground standing up.]

I don't recall... Do you have a comms officer? Perhaps someone could use the transporter to get the mattress in the armory.

We do now, yes. I suppose we could experiment with that.

[As long as they move the weapons out of the way first, what's the worst that could happen?]

Let me know if you run into any issues. We possess transporter technology in my universe and while I'm not an engineer and could not explain the workings to you, I am very familiar with how to use a transporter. All Starfleet officers have to be, since it's such a critical part of our jobs.

I'll have Kurt contact you if there's any difficulty. It's nothing I'm familiar with, but that is the intent of the augments, is it not?

[Truth be told, she herself has experienced little difference in her knowledge base. Federation technology is similar - and in many cases, better than the fleet's. All the augments have done for her is cause trouble, but she recognizes that for most people here, they'd be lost without them.]

[He's thinking of when Leia tried to remove hers, and the consequences of the attempt.]

[She hums thoughtfully.]

Mine has already quote-unquote malfunctioned twice, not counting the calibrations, of course.

I'm unable to tell whether it's "affected" me as well, though there was that week I spend in deep meditation. I certainly hadn't intended to do that.

If you experience any malfunctions like mine, believe me, you'll know. I hope you don't have anything like that happen though.

As do I - though I'll be sure to let you know if I should experience anything that seems to be related.

Thank you - I'm trying to keep incident reports, when I can, to see if there's any sort of pattern to the glitches. My suspicion is that they're used as a... Prod of sorts, to get us to be more interesting to the audience but I don't know that for sure, of course.

That would make a certain amount of sense. Perhaps it increases their revenue.
