[The video clicks on to an unusual-looking man with maroon skin and a yellow gem set into his forehead. Though he's been a familiar sight around the Windrose, the Vision doesn't tend to post much so he wouldn't be surprised if there are many unfamiliar with him.

This is a special occasion, however. There's even what looks like a cake in the background.]

There was a slight time differential between my last memories of home and the calendar here. Namely, I seem to have missed the month of June entirely. Given that lack, today is the three hundred sixty-fifth day since I was created.

Accordingly, there is cake and ice cream on the Windrose for any who should care to visit.

[He pauses and furrows his brow slightly.]

I cannot vouch for the taste of either, but I assure you they received the highest ratings from the shops they were purchased at.

[He swings the camera around to show more of the cargo bay, including the quarter he's converted into garden beds and the shelves above them filled with plants.]

Our previous captain suggested I should change my augment to botany.

[Well THAT certainly lights up her face.]

Oooooh that all looks amazing~~~ You made all that yourself?

[TEACH HER YOUR WAYS, VISION-SENSEI!]

[He sounds pleased that his work is admired, though the camera continues to pan over the various plants. They're quite a variety, and most don't look edible although there is a large vegetable section.]

I did, yes. It's been the work of several months, and I admit the previous planet and moon we visited have been more useful than this one. Most of the plants that grow on this moon require toxic conditions to thrive.

[That's... actually pretty heartening, especially since that bummer of a conversation with Vash earlier today. There's still hope for this planet after all...]

So... there are plants that are still okay after that "terra-forming" thing?

There's a forest out there, though jungle might be a more appropriate term. Whether or not they're considered healthy might vary compared to those on other planets, but they survive.

Additionally, at the masquerade, there was an area entirely dedicated to preserving the original plant life of this moon in hopes it can someday be reintroduced.

That's... that's REALLY good. Taking care of our world's SUPER important for ponies back home, so I'm glad that there's still stuff that's able to survive even though the moon got messed up.

[He nods; it's a long-term plan, but one with potentially world-transforming results.]

It's something I hope we may be able to help with as well, while we're here. Have you investigated the terraformation machines?

Yeah, a little bit. Mostly from a couple of talks with Steve and Vash, though, I've only been here a couple weeks.

All the same, your help is welcome. The more minds we have working a problem, the better chance of reaching a solution; the more hands, the faster.

[One punch prep, call to another party pony, and shuttle flight later, and there'll be a tiny pink horse with a LARGE (but lidded) punch bowl balanced on her head coming aboard the Windrose.]

[Oh well. They're all set up in the cargo bay, and when he sees Pinkie's unmistakable form he smiles at her and gestures to set the punch over by the birthday cake.]

Hee, thanks! [It'll be nice to see Makie's ship, and to help with her first party that's not centered on her.] Oooh this is a nice cake too! Who made it?

One of the markets has an associated bakery that came highly recommended. Please tell me if you like it.

[Your hours are numbered, delicious cake. At least Vision'll get some professional criticism too, what with living and catering in a bakery.]

[It is, in fact, delicious - turns out that limited food supplies or not, the people of the moon can still make a good birthday cake when someone needs it.]

[Yup, that's one dang tasty cake~ Especially since it's not made from gel.]

Mmm wow, that bakery knows their stuff~!

[He relaxes a bit at the seal of approval.]

[Tough call, but he did know a guy who was a plant once.]

[Oh, you mean Vash? If so, yeah, he's good people.]

[Actually, he means Asteffiel, but the plant guy's been gone from the Fleet for a while. He still has a crabapple sproutling from him....]
