[The video clicks on to an unusual-looking man with maroon skin and a yellow gem set into his forehead. Though he's been a familiar sight around the Windrose, the Vision doesn't tend to post much so he wouldn't be surprised if there are many unfamiliar with him.

This is a special occasion, however. There's even what looks like a cake in the background.]

There was a slight time differential between my last memories of home and the calendar here. Namely, I seem to have missed the month of June entirely. Given that lack, today is the three hundred sixty-fifth day since I was created.

Accordingly, there is cake and ice cream on the Windrose for any who should care to visit.

[He pauses and furrows his brow slightly.]

I cannot vouch for the taste of either, but I assure you they received the highest ratings from the shops they were purchased at.

There's what? [omg, Kitty, cake and ice cream aren't the point. ~~Just go seal the cargo bay doors so no one can get in and go eat it.~~]

I mean, happy birthday! [She has a one year old captain. Totally not weird.] Aren't we supposed to be getting you things instead of you getting us things you don't even eat?

[He shrugs, smiling.]

Of course you're welcome to, if you like, but I have little use for material possessions. Your company is enough of a gift.

Happy Birthday. [ -- by now, she knows who he is. although they may never have spoken, she's been briefed to his existence by a couple more knowledgeable future-folks by now.

[Allen turns on the feed, along with Timcampy who seems to have dug out a small birthday hat from...somewhere?? Who knows]

[His eyes light up when he sees who it is. He knows quite a bit about her, but as he usually keeps to himself he's never yet encountered her.]

Agent Carter, I believe? Thank you very much.

[Officer Snuggles in the background seems to have also acquired a birthday hat. It's ridiculously cute.]

Thank you, Allen. And--you didn't make that hat just for this, did you?

You believe correctly. And you're called...the Vision, are you not? [ ... ] Just Vision? I suppose it sounds a little absurd to call you Mister Vision, unless you'd prefer it.

Huh?

[He glances at Timcanpy for a moment, like there's a moment of silent deliberation going on]

Oh, no. [He shakes his head and looks back at the screen] Timcanpy had it on hand!

[He inclines his head.]

Just Vision, please. Or Captain Vision if you must, as I've been given that duty by our hosts.

[But unless he's mistaken, there's only one Captain for her.]

How convenient. Thank you for the thought, in that case, Timcanpy. [The little golem is a relative of sorts, after all.]

Me as well, actually. Over on the Starstruck. Bit funny, really, to take the rank now. [ a mild look; a not-quite smile. ]

How does it feel to be one year older, then?

Indeed. Though I can't say I'm surprised. History paints you as a leader.

[Good question.]

I've changed a great deal, I think. I understand people more than I had before, and I'd like to think I'm more responsible.

History paints a great many things, Vision, but I'm not certain I always agree with its brushstrokes. [ but she smiles in earnest, now. ] But I can at least promise you that most of us need far more than a year to come to grips with responsibility. Good on you.

True. No doubt there was a fair amount of propaganda in the databanks.

[Okay, but anyone Hydra was afraid of gets a pass in his book.]

I'm certain I have much more to learn, but I thank you regardless. I've found the Fleet to be a learning experience above all else.

That applies to the both of us, I feel. Nearly every fresh week, I find something new to astound me.

[ she doesn't much mind. as stiff as her upper lip may be, peggy likes to be astounded. ]

[Of course Beverly is going to visit - when has she ever passed up the opportunity to see her friends on the Windrose? Though it's a while after the broadcast before she shows up because she has to prepare a present first, now that she knows it's his birthday! So eventually she appears bearing a potted plant, one that looks an awful lot like aloe, to be exact. She even has put a bow on the pot, which she now holds out to him as she walks in.]

[How are you always this sweet?] You are my favorite one-year-old. [Which still means something if you're the only one-year-old she knows, okay? And she will figure out something to get him. She'll need to run to the moon again.]

[Exactly! The variety here is like candy for an active mind.]

And I hope it will continue to do so for both of us. Perhaps soon we'll have a new world to explore.

Not too soon. We've got the terraforming below to sort out first, haven't we.

[He's always pleased to see Beverly, and she knows the perfect gift for him. He looks positively thrilled as he takes it and sets it on a shelf near his garden beds.]

Thank you very much, Beverly. Is that from the dusty moon? It's quite beautiful.

Indeed. I've analyzed the machines I've been able to find; if we cannot enact repairs ourselves we can at least leave the local government with an action plan. I'd prefer it if we could make progress before the Marsiva gets out of range, of course.

[That gets a light laugh, because really, how many others can there be here?]

I'll try not to make the others jealous of your regard, should we encounter any.

I'm not the youngest anymore!! I get to be older!!

[OH BLESSED DAY, I AM FINALLY GETTING OLDER
