Would anybody be interested in joining an Augment Support network? Like, for people who need help getting the hang of their augment and want to ask a veteran, or for someone who learns something new and wants to share it with their peers.

I'm fine with doing the all the administrative work if anybody is interested being a mentor, or would like to be available for a help line. Or if someone would like help connecting with someone who has more expertise.

I think we all have a lot to offer each other.

Obi Wan! Hey, thank you! I know people can absolutely benefit from your tutelage. Would you want to just coach people with a Pilot augment? I know you've got some pretty specialized skills that don't have anything to do with the augments at all.

I'm really grateful for your interest. Can I ask what augment you have?

I'm an Engineer Augment, but I'm an experience spaceship captain from my own world too, so this technology isn't new to me.

I can do that. My piloting skills are partly from the Augment. I have experience in that area without it. I could also provide . . . sword training, I believe? And a specialized form of martial arts.

That's a great idea, Sorey! I've got the pilot augment, but I've also already been trained to fly space ships back at home, and I've been flying planes for a few years before that, too.

Not a bad idea. I'm Adalwolfe Hawke, Communications on the First Breath. I'd be happy to either help or just commiserate with anyone else feeling a technological disconnect; I can't be the only one from a world not anywhere near as advanced as this who's having a little difficulty adjusting to all of this new knowledge.

Also, I'm pleasantly surprised at everyone's willingness to help each other here. That's almost just as much of a shock as as the augments.

Oooh, that's a REALLY good idea! I'm kind of in between; I'd make stuff at home from time to time but I'm not THAT good at the wiring and programming stuff yet.

Ah, combat training...maybe that would be helpful to someone with a security augment... [well it would be useful without also but this isn't like battle club or anything] Could I put you down for both? Would it be all right for me to list you as a contact?

Ooh, an engineer with experience! That's awesome! I'm an engineer too but I'm uh, I'm still a newbie. Having a veteran available for consultation for other engineers would be fantastic!

Ah, no- Augh! I mean, I wasn't trying to say you have to reassure me or anything, it's my own fault for being so negligent-!

Better everyone learn to work everything correctly and not just rely on the Augment. The last thing we need are panels blowing - that hurts more than you might expect.

Oh, and if you like, I can teach a basic safety course with the general weapons Atroma gives each ship with security augments.

No one looks at their comms all the time, no one's got them on all the time. Not everyone made it there - that doesn't mean everyone was negligent! It happens sometimes, and it's not your fault. The fact that you're so worried about it now tells me you would've been there if you could!

Sure. I'm a cook according to my augment -- and not necessarily a great one. But I've learned some tips and tricks. They could be helpful to newbies with the same augment.

I can definitely add you on for that too! Wow, a lot of people show up here with combat experience. It's a little strange, you'd think there wouldn't be so many soldiers.

[darn it, clay is so NICE and considerate that anything sorey tries to say is just gonna get turned around in an effort to comfort him. sorey frowns for a second before just squashing those feelings of inadequacy down- he shouldn't be making this about him anyway. this is about clay.]

You do? [There aren't even close to enough hours in the day for all Sorey wants to do.] Piloting doesn't take up a lot of your time?
