[There is this thing Cole does.

He visits other ships. Sometimes he put the Pathstone alongside to visit and sometimes he takes a shuttle, but he's constantly wandering all over the fleet, being with people, circulating.

He hasn't done it in a while. He got a nasty fright and went into hiding for a while.

But the creepy psychic being is back! Sticking his large nose into all the business.]

Yes. But everywhere has people who believe that.

True. I've run into my fair share.

Pride demons are born out of wisdom. Knowing a lot, thinking you know better.

And no one really does.

The Chantry says the Maker knows everything. But I don't think the Maker is very nice.

[beardstrokes]

What makes you say that?

Well, the Sisters at the Chantry say that because people killed someone he loved, he turned his back on all of the world and that's why the world is terrible. And that seems cruel to me, to abandon generation after generation of people who need you because you were hurt.

[beardstrokes]

Maybe so. But perhaps he had no one to help him with his hurts.

... maybe.

[He has never thought that the Maker needed someone to help him.]

But they say Andraste is with him now that she's dead. And she thought everyone should love the Maker and he would love them.

[beardstrokes]

[ Obi-Wan shrugs helplessly. ]

Me either. Spirits don't have a Chantry.

The Chantry says we're demons. Even if we're benign spirits.

Then it really doesn't matter what other people think, does it?

I don't know. Blackwall didn't like me, but he just ignored me. Vivienne didn't like me and she kept trying to provoke me into being a demon so she would be allowed to kill me.

So... what people think does matter? Because they might think things that make them want to hurt others.

Perhaps, but I find that is usually the difference between thought and action. How people think or feel is still their purview. It's when they are acted upon that changes things.

Most people think and act.

... Jedi don't. That's different.

[beardstrokes]

In a way. Jedi also often act on instinct, but it isn't our instinct alone but the Will of the Force.

... I thought the Force was an energy? How does it have will?

[beardstrokes]

The Force is also balance. It heralds the movement of life, of motion and destiny. It empowers our choices. It has a will and it has many sides. I trust in the Light and as such, I serve the Light side of the Force.

So... the Light Side tells you what to do, because you choose to listen to it?

[beardstrokes]

It advises. The Force isn't meant to be . . . all knowing because life is always in motion. But it's there for moments of uncertainty, for that burst of confidence when you question yourself.

[He clearly doesn't get it, but that doesn't seem to bother him.]

It's more akin to a friendly accomplice.
