[Alright, so technically he was warned that this might not be entirely wise, but whatever, nothing ventured, nothing gained. And the warning came from someone who hails from a world with evil inventor supervillains, and this place is totally different. It's fine. This will be just fine.

The comm clicks on to reveal a corner of the Paisley's engineering room, where a couple of boxes of spare parts and tools have been stacked and labeled nearby. Kirito plops himself on the floor in front of it, offering an awkward wave.]

Hey, this is a general shout-out to the engineers of the fleet- not just the ones with engineering augments, but specifically people who like to experiment with tech, invent stuff, that sort of thing. Don't know about you, but I've been working mostly on my ship, and it's getting a little crowded, so I'm putting together a more official lab on the Iskaulit. It'll really barebones, but that's the point of this.

Anyone interested in contributing? We could get some tables and set up a decent workshop for more people. It might be cool to have a general area where some of us can work together, swap ideas, maybe get some experience with fields other than whatever we specialize in. I know I've got a lot to learn, and I'd like to see more of what's out there.

While I'm at it, does anyone have experience with building furniture? Or even making cushions? We're gonna need a lot for another project I'm working on.

That's okay. Locks and doors aren't really a problem for me anyway. [Understatement.] I guess I'll always know where to find him. [Unless he's working on a secret project.] Are you thinking individual stations for people within the room or more joint projects or spaces?

It would be easier with individual stations, since that way we wouldn't get our projects mixed up, but that depends on the interest. If there's too many people who want to get involved, we'd have to consider either a shared space or claiming multiple rooms.

Makes sense. I wouldn't mind signing up for one. [She doesn't have the number of projects Winn builds up, but she did say she wanted to help on more of them even if she doesn't have the augment.] Or signing up in general. The Windrose doesn't have a lot of extra space. [It always seems to feel a little extra cramped compared to other ships and these days it's still one of the more crowded in the fleet. Full capacity at least.]

Maybe I should make sure the lab is in an area of the ship with a few empty rooms on either side, just to be safe...

Do you specialize in any specific kind of engineering, or is it more of a general interest?

I was, am, pretty into computers. Any technology really. I had to do a lot of fixing of things back home to keep them working too. [Pause.]

[Literally anything else she says is lost in the wave of ???? that last comment causes.]

[You look so alarmed.] It was awhile ago. I think we were talking about a double date?

[And now he's distracted by wondering "wait does that mean Loki has a girlfriend".]

It's... pretty safe to assume that he was teasing, I think...

I kind of assumed. I just wasn't sure what the joke was exactly since I had no idea who you were.

Honestly half the time I'm surprised he remembers who I am. I doubt he thinks much of me.

I'm not an engineer. Of any sort. But I'm incredibly strong and great for rearranging things, carrying heavy machinery or welding things together. Is any of that any help?

Ah- that'd be really helpful, yeah. We'll need to arrange some pretty sturdy tables to support different project weights, so they'll be heavy for sure.
