Hello First Breath! This would normally be a season to begin preparing for winter back home. Usually changing out wardrobes, getting boots and coats ready and starting to make food that could be frozen for reheating later.

SO, with that in mind I'll be cleaning through out the ship. If there are areas that need special attention or that you would rather I avoid, please let me know.

Also if anyone has come across foods like squash or other fresh vegetables I would be happy to trade. I am hopefully looking to make some soups to save.

Hey, Lily! I've got some veggies that are ready to pick on the Caprine. Do you want to come over here, or should I bring them by?

As long as I stay out of your head I doubt anything is too filthy.

I'd love to come over! I haven't seen the Caprine before. Would you like anything in trade?

Sure, I take smiles, laughter, jokes, stories, recipes, and sweets!

[And really, after how draining the last couple of weeks have been, doing something nice for others and helping herself feel a little better is reward enough.]

[Well you've already earned a laugh with that and a wide smile. That's the sort of personality she likes to be around. Of all the people she had met on the fleet the ponies had been the most consistently fun.]

I'm pretty sure I can come up with a few things.

Aside from requests for food or cleaning I think you can just let me know what to stay clear of. I'll be suing magic to keep it easy.

Well I will never turn down an offer of help. What do you like to cook?

Alright then. Any requests for food you might want me to make? I've hearing from across the fleet that we will have vegetables available.

Oh, lots of stuff! I do a LOT of back here and back home, but I can also do candies and quiches and casseroles all sorts of stuff! What's YOUR favorite?

Oh, I don't have a lot of experience cooking meat, though, so hope something vegetarian's okay!

Ah-hah! Stay away from the guns, then, and the experiments on tables three and four in the engineering section. I have two very delicate experiments there and I would not want your magic to accidentally ... ah, turn them off?

I wouldn't know where to start, with those.

Wow, you have good experience cooking. I used to cook with my mum back home, so we made a lot of jams and jellies and stews and soups and roasts. Some baking but I don't think it's my forte. I think my favorite is something we don't have here. At a town by my school you could get Buterbeer and it made everything wonderful. My school always had huge feasts and large meals.

Vegetarian is fine, always nice to have a change.

[She sighed a bit sadly, clearly missing some parts of home.]

I will do my best then. Savory soups I think. And breads.

Oooh maybe I should make a pressure canner next, then we could preserve some of the produce here. Thanks for the idea!

And I can give the Butterbeer a try; what's it made of?

That's an outstanding idea!

Well I don't know all the ingredients, I know there is butter of course, sugar, water... but it tastes like butterscotch but not as sweet. I never thought to ask how to make it because we always had ways of getting some. It seemed like it was always in the tower.

Hmmm I think I can work with that! Yeah, come by the Caprine in a couple hours and I'll whip something up for you!

[Furiosa chuckles.] No, I guess not. But I've spent a lot of time in vehicles, and if you maintain them; they run better.

[Lily made her way over to the Caprine, wide eyes taking in the differences in this ship and her own. The First Breath felt a bit small in comparison to some of the other ships, but this did still feel warm and inviting.]

Very true, so you a lot about cars and how they work? I don't think I fully understand them.

I do. You couldn't get by in my world without cars. What do you want to know about them?

[The rooms are still small, but the Caprine's design is a lot more finished and less of a trip hazard. Not to mention COLORFUL, with all of the shuttles sport new, unique paint jobs, and at least a quarter of the cargo bay is covered in fruiting plants and vegetables.]

No, it just takes practice. A lot of it is just learning how it responds, what its limits are.
