[ Matt hates confetti, there's nothing worse for upsetting his senses than over stimulation. So he stands, waiting for the 'celebration' to pass. He'd only been in the last room (ship?) long enough to be moved along to the next, so now here he was, trying to get his bearing through a snowstorm of flying paper.

Once he does, at least a bit, he can focus on the refreshments. It's clearly party food, which seems safe enough, so he assembles his stick and moves forward. ]

I, uh, hello?

[ He clears his throat. ]

My name's Matt Murdock, and I think you all are expecting me.

[ Later, Matt sits in front of the monitor, dark red glasses covering his eyes. He's calm, but it's clear that he's holding back stronger emotions. ]

If anyone seeing this knows me, I need to know you're here. Suffice to say, I have a few questions.

[The man in the feed does look familiar, but she's not sure why yet. For a moment, the dark red glasses make her think of Scott Summers—an enemy most other X-Men she's met would call friend. But even accounting for a very different hairstyle and the possible changes to physique that can go into being from an entirely different world and living an entirely different life he doesn't sound or look enough like him.]

I'm not sure about knowing you, but I might have some answers.

[aha, a familiar face from another world. Somehow she'd avoided this up until now, but - she isn't so stupid as to assume he's the one she knew. Honestly, she barely knew that one, let alone his real name.

[Ravi doesn't technically know Matt Murdock, not personally anyway. But those glasses are a dead-giveaway, and he can't not take this opportunity to talk to Matt Murdock, superhero and lawyer extraordinaire! Besides, it's not like Matt has specified that people who don't know him shouldn't comment as well!]

You know, I basically said the same thing when I got here! About the questions, I mean. I wasn't really expecting anyone to know me, having never been to space before.

[ he sighs, it's not exactly the answer he was hoping for. he doesn't recognize her voice.]

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. Does that mean no one on any of the ships knows anything?

[ Matt perks up, shifting in his seat. ]

Are you serious? I'll take any answers you can give me. What do you know about this place?

Yeah, sure. [Not like she had a ton of things planned right now anyway. And she's still trying to put her finger on how she could know him.]

We're told it's a fleet of spaceships which checks out and that we're all part of a reality TV show which who knows. Could be. We definitely get paid according to our entertainment value. Or at least it ebbs and flows enough to make you think so. Right now we're just flying along, but we're probably due for a stop soon. Everywhere we've been since I joined up has been a little different—space station, moons, planets. Different cultures. Different properties.

I was hoping the space part was going to be some kind of hoax.

[ He smiles at her enthusiasm despite his feelings on this situation, it's reassuring. ]

You don't sound too concerned about being trapped in space, Kara.

Well, I'm not excited about being away from my life, friends, and family, but on the other hand, space is cool, and it's not really my first time.

[It takes Natasha a moment to recognize the face. It's luck that she knows it at all—he was in the news, though, and relevant to her interests. Take that with Natasha's head for details, and she puts the pieces together.]

You were the defense in the Frank Castle trial.

[She says without preamble. Does she pass the test?]

[ Matt nods as she speaks, gears clearly turning as he takes in the information. ]

So it really is space, then.

[ In the back of his mind he'd hoped that it was all a trick of his senses. It seemed at least as possible as the truth. Part of his still wants to hear that from someone he knows. ]

[There is a bird on the bird ship. Well, not precisely a bird, but a kid with bird wings. And sunglasses. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He ends up poking his head through one of the doors (sometimes he just doesn't feel like opening them) and blinks at Matt and then the cane, before he returns his attention to Matt.]

I dunno about "expecting", but hey man, if that makes us sound more competent... [There's a beat of silence, before he scoffs a little at himself, amused.] Who am I kidding, I'm hypothetically in charge and that's not fooling anyone. I'm Davesprite, sup.

[ Matt's unable to hold back his surprise. He leans forward towards the screen, unable to keep from getting his hopes up. ]

Yes! I was! Does that mean you're from New York?

[ Matt walks towards the voice, the confetti finally stopping and his senses righting themselves. Still, he swings his cane as he moves, not letting on.
