It's hiding herself away, for her own protection, and it's the same as wearing armour or wearing something familiar to feel stronger. It's what she does, and she can handle that. Maybe it's changing, but after so many years of fighting and hiding from herself... She's still learning how to shed that armour and be herself. ]
