[ It'll take time for things to be back to 'normal', but after that - well, he doesn't mind. He can wait as long as it takes. He can settle and make himself comfortable, and he's not afraid to admit it. He's had experiences like that in the past - and he can handle it. For now.

Well, I won't deny that it's nice to be off the ships. The air feels different as ever out here.

[It's fortunate that they landed on such a natural planet, rather than another awkwardly-terraformed mess; they'd all needed something like this to unwind.]

He gets how hard it must be for Mikleo, to have the kind of water they do on the ships, but the air... It's stifling, and sometimes it makes him feel sick. This is fresh and amazing and it's no wonder he feels at home. ]

Suffice to say, this is better.

[Don't have to tell him twice. None of the seraphim are really getting a good experience on the ships- it's all unnatural constructs and recycled elements. It doesn't feel right at all.]

Has Dezel told you about the garden on the Iskaulit? The air is much better there, if you're ever feeling ill between stops.

[ Not holding any punches today - and why would he? It's not as if he's ever suggested that he likes the ships. ]

... Nah. Dezel and I haven't talked for a little while. I've been kinda busy. [ Hiding. ]

[Yeah, that doesn't surprise him. He figures they'll have to work through it if it goes on too long, but he isn't sure how involved he ought to be, considering his own death appears to be a major part of the problem. He's already made his feelings known, and it's up to Zaveid to decide whether or not to accept that. Or whether or not he can get over his own issues with the whole experience. No one can decide that for him.

Might not hurt to remind him of it once in a while, though, because he's not really buying that excuse.]

Well, we got a new kid on the ship that can see me. I've been busy making sure she feels right at home.

[ Which isn't a lie, really. Zaveid had taken a shine to her because she was small, and seemed a little lost and scared... And he's always been a bit of a sucker for people that needed his help. Look at how he handled Edna, how he handled Dezel, once, when he had been a little baby Seraph...

[It's honestly fascinating, how much bravado and nonchalance Zaveid shows to the world, but the more Mikleo gets to know him, the more he's noticing that the wind seraph is far less devil-may-care and more... well, genuine care.]

[He's not really teasing, now. He's not just a softie at heart- for all his boisterousness behaviour, Zaveid can be surprisingly selfless, too. Mikleo hadn't really noticed it before, but after everything that happened, and after everything Zaveid had done for the both of them, probably at great cost to himself... yeah, you can't really unsee it after that.]
