Game Room

[Kitty does not trust a gift from their mysterious overlord abductors. But not trusting it is all the more reason for her to be interested in checking it out. Besides, it's on the Marsiva and that feels like the only ship they might have a chance of getting information from that's worth anything since they are locked out of parts of it.

For awhile, Kitty can be found pressing a hand to every part of the wall adjoining the rest of the ship. It actually looks like she's straining herself a bit. Odd, right? Phasing isn't that exciting to look at when it isn't working.

It isn't too long before she decides she could use a snack followed by another or ten others. Who's counting?

And then it's time to check out the games and look through the list of available prizes. Well...maybe just a few rounds for science.]

[As long as she made the trip over she'll check this area out again, taking a walk through the small park even if she doesn't have a pet with her.]

[ this is a terrible idea, winn tells himself when he sees the announcement. this is a terrible idea, he repeats when he grabs a bag with what little exploration gear he's managed to scrape together in his time on the fleet and fits it to his back. this is a terrible idea he mutters to himself as he gets on the shuttle. this is a terrible idea, he thinks as he sets foot on the marsiva.

he intends to simply walk the floor, investigate, see if he can somehow leave the game room, or at least get some tech through to take some measurements of something - anything. he has no intention of participating.

until he spots the food.

you can find him either walking the room, trying to casually blend in as he tries to find any tiny weakness he could exploit (nobody's perfect, right? that's gotta apply to the atroma, too!), watch the games, cheer someone on when he inevitably gets way too into this, or stuffing his face with pizza, noodles, french fries - whatever comfort food he picks up at the time - and washing it down with soda. there may be some sugar madness ahead. ]

[ Cara doesn't like games.

Though, to be more honest, it's more to due with the fact that she's never played any. Mord'Sith don't have parties or celebrate birthdays and they certainly wouldn't be caught dead in a tawdry display like this one. Still, she's curious enough to try them. So she scours the machines and games before picking up one fan favourite.

And for a while, she's grinning with amusement.

Or you can see her near the snack tables, eating real food like steak. She doesn't touch the strange fries though. Or any of the other junk food. ]

[Until suddenly and from out of nowhere a hand reaches out to claim one of those fries! Your defenses were down, Sir Schott! What do you do now?]

[ why, be a brat and snap half the fry off right from her hand with his teeth. but only because he could recognize that hand anywhere. ]

Too slow. [ he turns to give her an obnoxiously smug grin before swallowing his half-fry. ]

[She's been spending more time than is humanely advisable cleaning up the persistent mess on the Pathstone. In all honesty she has become so focused on it she's lost track of time in general. It's the network post from Diamond and Beau that draws her attention away from her own ship long enough to check out the Game Room.]

[She's looking a little less on-point than usual; although an attempt has been made to clean herself up, there are dark circles under her eyes and yes - a hair out of place.]

[Additionally, she is on a short fuse as far as patience is concerned.]

[Feel free to bother her or challenge her to a game!]

[She leans in to kiss his cheek before eating the fry half she did manage to steal.] Finding anything good, handsome?

Food's not half bad.

[ he nods. so...no, not really. he hasn't found anything that'll get them any closer to going home, and that's what he really cares about here. he hasn't really played any games yet, either, despite wanting to.

he doesn't want to take back anything from the atroma, he'll get all excited for something that's controlled and useless and possibly dangerous. ]

You should grab a plate.

If that's what you're calling stealing food right outta my hands, you've officially been hanging out with Kara too much.

[She smiles fondly at him.] I'll get my own plate. [And she'd never actually steal if there wasn't plenty to go around. Just teasing her man.] I'll even get you an extra half of fry.

[ he wouldn't play bad at sharing if there wasn't plenty to go around, just teasing his woman. ]

The value of a half-fry went up, it's now worth a whole fry and a kiss.

[She leans in to give him a kiss right on his fry eaters! Or lips. Whatever you call them. Then she takes a couple of backward steps before turning to grab a plate.] I was here earlier too.

[ okay he has to stop personifying the fries, it's gonna end up getting in his head. ]

I didn't touch the fries the first time. I wanted to make them wait for it. [Shimmies her hips.]
