You can check out anytime you'd like.. [Hotel Corona Mingle]
Who: The Fleet!
Broadcast: If you want
Action: Hotel Corona or Planet Ikke
When: December 7th onward

[After the mystery and isolation of their last destination, the Marsiva seems determined to head to brighter, busier territory. After a long journey through remote, nebula-painted space, speeding along at a brisk pace for the Host ship, the Marsiva brings her Fleet to a sudden and prominent point of traffic.
It seems that the Fleet has happened upon some sort of vacation destination! Maybe Atroma thinks that the passengers deserve some rest and relaxation... or just wants to distract them with something huge and shiny.
Welcome to Hotel Corona! Feel free to enjoy yourselves and enjoy the sites! If a hotel resort isn't your thing, you can head on over to the nearby planet and explore it's icy wonders.
In order words: it's a mingle!! Everyone get in! ]

Leonard McCoy | ota
[The first thing he did was get a job; security because he didn't want to wash dishes. That was a mistake because the second thing he did was end up getting punched in the face because of that job. The third thing he did was attempt to quit that job. He got a raise instead and another assignment, which was enough to get him enough credits to do things. The things a guy's gotta do to grab a drink.
It's the first thing he does as soon as he's got enough credits: find a bar. Fun thing about that, though, is that working security for that bar actually hooked him up with a discounted drink here and there. It was almost worth getting punched in the face.
Almost. If he notices someone he knows in the bar, he might send a drink over. It's a nic perk, having a discount.
He can be found in the Redshift district, whether on duty or off and sticking around near the bars. He kinda looks like he belongs, looking a little scruffy and sporting a spectacular shiner.]
Blue Nebula Musem.
[Still scruffy. Still sporting a shiner. Leonard H. McCoy, the self-avowed not-an-explorer, can't help but go to the museum, to seek out the spectacular views, to read up on all the things these people have learned about this place.
He splits his time between the viewing decks and a small cafe, when he's not actually in the museum. More than once, he'll be on the viewing deck, giving the view a narrow-eyed look.]
Wildcard.
[Drag him into mini-golf or phaser tag. (He'd actually be good at the latter. Who knew?) I'm open to just about anything. All of the shenanigans. Even while he's on the job.]
[ blue nebula museum ]
He twists Loki's ring on his finger before giving McCoy a bemused smile. ]
Looking for something in particular?
no subject
Nope. It's an interestin' sight.

[ His bright blue eyes goes over the painting, watching the colours move and weave. ]
It's highly doubtful they'll leave any connections for you to find.
no subject
Yeah. I know. [He shrugs one shoulder.] I don't expect to. It's just.. There's always more to it than what you can see. Just wonderin'.

[ It has a feature where you could touch it, feel water. Leto considers reaching out but restrains himself. It's best not to give into temptation. ]
I imagine even your home is the same. There's always more inside than what your ships show on the outside.

Redshift
Hey there, can I get you something to drink? [He gestures at his face, mirroring the bruise.] Or, you know, for the black eye?
no subject
The drink is for the black eye.
no subject
[It's the kind of flat, vaguely macho response that he can respect, and he grins crookedly as he turns for the wall of glassware.]
What'll that be, then?
no subject
That one. Straight. We'll see what it does.
[He's probably going to poison himself at this rate.]
no subject
[Spotless old-fashioned glass on a Corona-labelled coaster, incomprehensible bottle, two fingers of dark liquor that gives off the smell of persimmons and burning cinnamon as it tumbles from the spout and oxidises into a dull ember-red in bright, glimmering swirls. Eugene gives a lift of his eyebrows, impressed and more than a little curious to see the reaction to actually drinking it.]
no subject
He takes the sip and, Jesus H, but that's a burn in the best way possible.] That's nice. I'm gonna want a couple bottles of that.
no subject
[He puts the bottle to the side, taking a glance at the label and making a mental note to see if there's actually surplus for sale. Everything's for sale if you can pay it, right?]
Hey, haven't I seen you on the comms around the fleet?
no subject
You're fleet, huh? Yeah, I've been around a few weeks. Leonard McCoy.

two grumpy old men walk into a bar...
You have been busy I see! [ Is the first thing he says when he spots the shiner ]
no subject
no subject
That happens. No other injuries, I trust? And if you are free... [ Because if you are on the job McCoy, he can come back later. Uh. He will even try to remember to do so on the same day ]
no subject
I'm free. Let's grab that drink.
no subject
Alright - what do you recommend? I have not had much of a chance to sample things, at this stage, although I will warrant you have been too busy working to have sampled much yourself!
