[ Jayden is NOT HAPPY when she wakes up. At all. And after long enough of frantically searching every inch of the room she's in, and seeing no sign of any of her things, she's all the more pissed off! So she very, very quickly figures out her communication device, switches it on, and glares daggers into the feed. Hoo boy howdy, is she pissed... ]

Later, anyone else also on the Marsiva might bump into her in the main room, though she'll be quite pissy about the whole situation. ... She might also be stuffing her face with some of that buffet food. Don't judge. ]

[ Poof!! Jayden appears on the Pathstone, there's a flurry of confetti, and... ... is that pudding? She'll take some of that thank you very much~

She's wandering the ship, trying to figure out 1) where she's supposed to be right now, 2) who else is around, and 3) if she's going to get any more answers about... well, anything at all. So, would anyone care to help show her around? Don't mind the stern look on her face too much. It... it just does that. ]

[Opal is wandering the ship, planning to head back out to the hotel soon. Instead, as she makes her way to the entrance, she sees Jayden instead.]

Well, you look happy. Let me guess, they pulled you from the middle of something important? I think it's that way for most people.

[Betamax has lost her focus in her excitement, it's been months since she was last with Argos, and even longer since she'd been at the tower; she'd been trying to get used to the idea of never seeing another Guardian. But now, she's got her communication up close to her face, optics shining bright.]

[ Jayden's resting bitch face does ease up the slightest bit when she's addressed - not much, but it's something. She sighs. ]

Sort of. I'm a Guardian. Got a city to protect. Can't do that here. [ Beat. ] And apparently I'm a pilot now?

[ She'd like to know who's in charge of augments and why are they stupid. ]

Yeah. This place sucks for stuff like that. Was there anyone else who could take care of your city or whatever?

[A pause.]

Nice. Think it's been a while since we had a pilot, or if it hasn't been a while I didn't know the last one.

[ Wow holy crap that's one excited Exo suddenly all up in her face -- er, on her device screen. Whatever. Point remains.

She's still angry, and hell if she's letting down her guard just because the other person seems so happy. The tension around her remains. ]

Yeah. I am. And not five minutes ago, I was near Firebase Rubicon. Now I'm here, and I can't find Anil. What the hell is going on?

[ ... Sorry, Betamax, hopefully she will be even a little bit nicer sooner rather than later?? ]

[ She nods. ]

There are plenty of Guardians. But... I still feel pretty uneasy.

... Hold up. You didn't have a pilot before me? [ What. ] So you just floated after the flagship or something?

The ship's on autopilot if there's no pilot. But now that you're here we can tell the autopilot to go fuck itself and go off course if we want? I think that's how it works, at least.

[A shrug.]

Like I said, it's been a while since we had one.

[ That... might have been a tiny huff of a laugh at her choice of words~ ]

Well, I might not be a pro, but I know what I'm doing. And I know I'm better than autopilot.

Just because of the new stuff they crammed in your augment, or did you know how to pilot ships before getting here?

I flew some ships back home. Mostly shuttles. Cruisers. Haven't flown anything this big before, but I'll adjust.

What's your augment?

[ And does it make any more sense than hers does? :| ]

Nice. Did you get in cool space battles? Is that how you guarded the city or whatever?

Oh, I'm lab support. [A shrug.] It's like - first aid stuff, kinda. There's a medical area on the ship if you ever need it.

Space battles? Heh. Yeah, some. Well, rarely.

[ She actually cracks a small smile at that - she still calls half the shit back home "space stuff," having been brought centuries into the future, and all... ]

Most of my fighting's done planetside. Mars, Venus, what's left of Earth... I'm usually tasked with taking the fight to our enemies.

Wait, hold up one second. Mars is a habitable planet where you're from?

[ She shakes her head. ]

Was. We had settlements on the moon, Mars, and Venus before the Collapse. Then everything went to shit. Mars was invaded by the Cabal during all that, like four centuries ago.

Let me guess, I don't want to know what the Collapse was and you don't want to talk about it?

I do want to know who the Cabal are, though.

It's fine. The Collapse is when the Darkness showed up in the Solar System to wreck everything. I'd tell you details if I could... I don't remember much. That's when I died. [ Beat. ] I got better. [ Har har. ]

The Cabal are an alien race. Don't know where from, they showed up during the Collapse since nobody could stop them - too busy with the Darkness. They're huge - look like big-ass rhinos in space suits.

You, uh, have a habit of losing ghosts where you come from?

[She's too happy to be bothered with the Titan's anger, taking it all in stride.]

Firebase ... Rubicon ... [She answers in awe; she's been there, certainly, but it was never an easy trek. She gives her head a shake to focus.] You're in the Fleet now, It's not any part of our universe. It's actually one of a few pocket dimensions; not the first I've been in. This one seems, well ... basically we're the entertainment. We're on a show, if you can believe that, ratings and sponsors and all that. Apparently we get returned if our ratings are high enough, but it seems to be more random than that.

No. Which means someone took him. You know anything about that?

[ Aaand now she's glaring a little bit harder. Jayden does not know how to win friends and influence people. Sorry. ]

[ Also there was something about pocket dimensions in there, whatever the hell that means. Warlock words. Totally. ]

[Crowley's in his usual place, lounging on his comms station chair, looking bored as anything. He tilts his head in the direction of the noise of someone new arriving, and gives an idle half-wave. ]

Yeah. That's the normal expression for anyone realising they have to live here.

[ She shakes her head, indicating hey - no worries. She's got purpose, so she's fine. ~~most of the time~~ ]

Yep. And they're just as bulky. Probably compensating. [ Smirk~ ]
