[Finrod has taken a little time to make himself presentable before turning on the communicator, though he still looks a little disoriented. That's probably inevitable after being asleep for nearly a month.

He gives a smile and a little nod of greeting, as is his usual opening.]

Good morning. [There's a hint of amusement in his voice there.] I know that there have been new arrivals while I have been... indisposed and I would offer you welcome. I am Finrod Felagund, captain of Bishop, and if there is aught I might do to ease the discomfort of your arrival, you need but ask. Members of my crew, in particular, should not hesitate to approach me, even if only to talk.

For those of you who know me already- I believe we have much to catch up on! I look forward to speaking with you. [Which is his way of saying 'please let me know that you're alright and still around.']

[Beverly's not a member of his crew, but she might as well be with how often she's been checking in on him. It's... useless to worry, she knows. These things always go one of two ways and there is nothing she can do about it. But the tricorder gives her the comforting illusion that she's helping and so she persists. Naturally, when she comes today and finds him awake, she's thrilled and relieved and no doubt about it, he's going to get hugged.]

That's very welcoming. [Mon-El is a new face for the fleet! Well, just a little over a month old at least.] Were you sleeping for a long time like Kate? [He just learned about the long sleeps. And you just know Kate, right? You captain a ship with the same last name.]

[ It's like a riddle, bro. Zaveid's been on the Bishop long enough that they're probably used to his resonance, but it's not like he really talks to his crew... ]

You can, certainly. Whether I will notice is another matter. [Finrod, stop being a smartass.]

Likely the answer is yes; what I do not see, I often sense.

[faithfulwisdom]

I aim to be; none of us wish to be here, but there is no reason we cannot lighten one another's burdens while we are.

[A nod.] If this Kate of yours slept for nigh a month, then yes. I am afraid the name is not familiar to me.

Then come, by all means. You can find your way to the captain's quarters of the Bishop, I assume?

I think I remember, unless it's changed much since I was last there.

[Not counting the Iskaulet, the Bishop is the only ship she's ever set foot on, aside from the Red Fish.]

[And off she goes. It's a few minutes before she arrives (because she's not the best shuttle pilot, let's be honest), but she's there soon enough, knocking politely on his door.]

[He laughs] I can only imagine what state I would be in, had you all been younger. But poor Findekano! I am not sure whether to be grateful or regretful that I missed that.

[For about a second, she contains herself, and then she thinks to hell with it. She flings herself at him in a abrupt, fierce hug.]
