[Erik gravitates to the weapons stores as well, the presence of metal always bringing him near for a look. When he sees Nightingale there, he's a bit startled. Not at the spear - that seems like a sensible weapon to him - but because it's been so long (to his mind) since he saw the girl last. He had returned home for ten years in between, and there are times when his memories of the Fleet can seem exactly that old.

Shaking himself out of it, he swims over and gestures to the spear she's holding.]

[Nightingale is a lot more used to not seeing people for a while. She gets lonely, but she's used to not being able to see people, and still being friends even without seeing them much.

On the other hand, she's underwater, and freaked out, so she spins around and brandishes the spear in a panic when she hears him, before realizing who it is.]

[An automatic correction. He's left that name behind, in the dust with all his other memories. He looks her over, noting the agitation in her movements.]

I won't argue that. I didn't mean to startle you.

[He can't argue with that. Pushing through fears is how he chooses to handle such things, when he knows enough to recognise them. Erik merely nods, then looks back at the weapons store wares again.]

I already picked up a knife, but they seem to have a lot of spears in this world.

Yeah... I'm not complaining, though. Spears are my only real physical-oriented weapon.

I've only used them for hunting in the past. I've not fought any actual battles with one.
