[Some people slap the idiot. But as Natasha doesn't seem to be completely mortified to have him talking to her Vash decides to keep pushing his luck.] Have you tried the kelp stuff yet? It's so weird to be eating something that taste like it belongs in a shot glass.

I'm not in a hurry to get more kelp in my diet, thanks. There's a lot of it around here as there is.

[She's still not slapping him, so that's something. She's a little confused by his enthusiasm though.]

One place I'd rather have something familiar.

Yeah, a lot of kelp. Is it just me that it seems weird they don't eat fish at all? I mean, good for the fish. I'm glad they get to live their fishy lives, but I wasn't expecting everyone around here to not be in love with fish sticks!

Imagine you see fish differently when you live with them like this.

A little. I mean, back home all I got to taste was processed salmon. On a different planet I got to try real salmon. Have you ever eaten nothing but processed food to then get to try the real thing? It's hard to go back.

[Natasha's lips twitch at that, not quite suppressing a wry smile.]

I'm familiar with the concept. But if you're interested in seafood, they have that at plenty of of the worlds we stop in on.

I suppose that's true. [He sighs dramatically to make sure it was clear he was "suffering".] I'll, sadly, just have to wait then.

Huh. I wonder if they have salmon flavoured kelp. I mean, they have so many other flavours after all.

I ah, hahaha, actually don't know. I sort of only just woke up from a coma shortly after it happened.

That must have been something to wake up to. I can't say I envy whoever had to tell you what you'd missed.

It was! I nearly ran into a wall that wasn't there before! My stuff was moved everywhere! And I nearly missed out on a planet to get real food before drifting again!!! It was awful!

But it's fine now and my new crew members seem pretty cool!

[From over dramatic to perfectly calm in under two seconds flat.]

[That is some mood shift there. Natasha tilts her head a little, curious but short of concerned.]

Glad to hear you're adapting to the changes. It could be hard if the two crews weren't gelling well.

And there are some strong personalities around here.

I think it all helps that we're all in the same situation. I mean, no one wants to fight in tight spaces and cause a haul breach or hit the life support controls after all. [Of course not every fight and dispute ends with punches being thrown. Unless you're from his world.]

Hey, at least if there has to be destruction it can at least be useful in preventing destruction! It's the only good type of destruction if you ask me!

You think so? I'm not sure everyone would agree with that. Probably depends on how big the mess you're making is.

Personally what helps avoid messes I tend to like. If a mess happens I seem to get the blame and that's just super unfair.

Even if it's not your fault? [It's certainly possible. But accountability can be a funny thing.]

It's almost never my fault in fact! [Its more that he involves himself into trouble. The other half of the time? Yes, it's totally his fault.]

It might be a little quick to jump to that conclusion. Really depends on why you're there when these things happen.
