No - no, not officially. We talk about it, though. Wanting to get married, start a family. What our lives would be like back in National City.

Wow. I didn't realize it was that serious. That's great. [Reaching over to clasp his shoulder.] I'm surprised Kara hasn't mentioned it.

[ there is a light blush and goofy grin there ] Thanks.

[ about that, though... ] That's probably cuz she doesn't know. This is...the first time I've ever said it to someone who isn't Kitty. [ and it feels really good. does that mean he's ready for it? he's still not sure, but it definitely feels like a step in the right direction. ]

Oh! Well, I'm honored. [He smiles at Winn.] And I guess that means I'm on secret duty?

[ he really really wants to say yes. just take the selfish route and tell mon-el to keep their bro secret.

but he knows how much he hates keeping secrets from kitty. he definitely doesn't want to put that strain on mon-el. ]

I think so, she and Kitty were friends before I got here.

[ which lead to some awkwardness and he does worry sometimes that he messed things up for them by falling for kitty but you know what, worth it. ]

But it's not like we have a particular announcement here, it's just us...talking.

Well, you get a ring. Or she gets a ring - whoever's ready to pop the question gets a ring. And then they ask the other person to marry them, and if they say yes - they're engaged. Then there's wedding planning which usually takes a while...and then a wedding.

[ he shakes his head. ]

I don't. [ he has the materials to make one, however. ] But yeah, that's the symbol. What do you do on Daxam?

[He looks thoughtful for a moment before shrugging and then looking at Winn with a smile.] It doesn't really matter now. Earth is home. Unless it's the Goldstone...

[ he squeezes his arm. ]

[He gives Winn a soft smile even though that comment feels as much supportive as it does unintentionally demoralizing.] Well, I don't know that I always had the best role models there. And if I'm asking someone it's probably someone who expects your traditions. ...Or Krypton's. Not that we're ready for that.

[ he returns that smile, please don't go proposing to kara too soon, he's rooting for you guys! ]

But you know, no place is all good or all bad. It can't be that bad if it made you, so, if there's ever a tradition you wanna revive - I'll do it with you. Not - proposal related stuff, unless it's help you pick out the ring, but, you know -
