[Euphie is still picking confetti out of her long, pink hair as she curiously explores the new ship. She stops in front of one of the fish bowls complete with glowing fish inside and her eyes widen in delight and she clasps her hands together.] Hello! Is anyone else here with us, Mr. Fish? [And then, to be polite, she puffs out her cheeks as is the way of the fish.]

Hello, everyone! Please excuse me for being rude by not addressing you all sooner. I was very surprised by, well, everything. [She smiles warmly even if she can't see the people she's addressing just yet.] My name is Euphemia li Britannia, but you're welcome to call me Euphie. I've already learned some of the basics about this place and I understand I'm here as a cook? I've never done that before, but I hope to do my best!

[It's not all smiles and bouncy pink hair. Dealing with the reality of suddenly being taken away just as she felt so close to giving the people of Area 11 something important and finding a space where her family could finally be together along with her knight was hard and not over, but she wants to be brave and hopeful. Other people must feel the same way she does, and maybe in this way she can help them too.]

Since I don't need to ask you those questions, maybe we can just get to know each other. What's your name and what's your favorite part about being here? So far, for me, it's getting to see the stars like this. I remember lying out on the grass when I was young staring up at them and it always felt like a sparkling blanket.

[Nami finds Euphemia by the simple act of ...uh. Following a sparse trail of confetti until she finds a complete stranger talking to one of the fish.]

Huh. We haven't had any newcomers for a while. Welcome aboard?

[Well, Rey did vanish. Guess it was just a matter of time.]

[She turns at the sound of the voice and smiles, not looking at all embarrassed for conversing with a fish.] Hello. Thank you. I knew we'd be assigned new ships. I didn't realize it would be so sudden or festive.

If you think about it, you'll find you have some cooking knowledge in your head know. As it is we don't have much to work with most of the time, so you should be fine.

I'm James Tiberius Kirk, but you can call me Jim, and I suppose the people is my favorite part. I would never have met half of them if I hadn't come here, so if there's a silver lining, it has to be that.

How does it feel to go from a blanket to being dropped in an ocean?

[Her rather cheerful outlook and almost semi-formal way of speaking caught Keith's attention. It was like listening to Allura, in a way. He flipped on the video.]

[It's fine it's fine she's lived with weirder.] Yeah, they tend to like surprising you.

I'm Nami. Captain of the Bloodsport. There's a few empty bedrooms you can choose from, just take your pick. Any questions I can answer?

[Oh wow she's pretty. ... is Asuna's first thought.

She smiles and waves at the camera in a return greeting.]

Hi, Euphie. I'm Asuna, and I'm a cook, too. I can show you some things if you'd like.

They've done their job well then. I don't think I've stopped being surprised since I arrived. I'm pleased to meet you Captain Nami of... Ah, did you say Bloodsport? [She doesn't like that name at all. Is there any chance she misheard it?]

I look forward to the people becoming my favorite part too. It's off to a good start with you, Jim. [She smiles back at him as she considers his question.]

It's a little overwhelming if I'm honest. [If she's honest it's a LOT overwhelming. She's done difficult things outside her comfort zone before certainly, but it was at least within the wheelhouse of what she understood reality to be.]

Hello, Keith. I'm pleased to meet you. I must admit, I did spend some time adjusting before contacting everyone like this. I'm not sure my attitude was as good my first couple of days. [It wasn't that bad either, but she was very confused and concerned. She still is, but she's choosing to do the best she can with that.]

But I think you might be trying to get out of my question. [She smiles pleasantly.]

[While blue hair is nothing to be surprised about for Euphie she does look curious seeing the other girl's ears. Some sort of false ones for a costume maybe?]

Oh! That would be wonderful. I would very much appreciate it and I'm sure my crew would too. I can feel that I know things about it now, but I've never cooked anything at all before.

[It might be reassuring, then, when Nami makes a face as she repeats it back.] Yeah. Not my choice of a name. All the ships are named by the Atroma.

Really? It's a hobby of mine, and I think it's very fun! You get to create so many different things, the possibilities seem almost endless.

Couldn't we just call it something else if the crew doesn't like it? Like [A thoughtful pause] the Funsport.

I have always liked eating. I suppose I'm half way there. [Except not really.] It's very nice of you to offer. Which ship are you on?

Yeah, it was kind of a shock to wake up here.

[He sighed a little.]

Honestly? I haven't really found anything that I could consider my favorite thing, yet. There are some good things, I guess, but I'd still rather be back home.

[Keith had never really felt homesick before, but he was beginning to wonder if what he was feeling these past few days was it. He'd started to look at the Castle as his home, really, and their little patched together team as almost a family. It was something he hadn't had... not for a long time. And now it had been taken from him.

It was hard to think about what his favorite thing here might be when all the things he really wanted were back there.]

Are you a newer arrival too? [That would make that comment less sad at least. Not that it isn't understandable. It's hard to be away from family like this.]

Yeah. Only maybe a month or so.

[It was weird for him, getting back on to an Earth time schedule like this after being on an Altean one for so long. He'd get used to it soon enough.

Keith shrugged a little.]

I mean, not much I can really do about it for the moment, but it's still pretty frustrating.

Of course. I mean, everyone must be missing people and things from home. I know I am, but then I think it's better to focus on what's good here, so we can enjoy the moment too.

[He gave her a small smile.]

Yeah. That's a good way to think about it.

I don't mind if you join me in that thinking. There's room for everyone.

[That amused him.]

I wouldn't think there was a limited amount of space for it.

It can be, I know. Just think of it as a new adventure in every direction - something just waiting to be discovered.

[She approves of amusing him. That's something at least.] I'm glad you agree.

Although... Is there any way to know how people are back home? I was about to do something very important.

Not unless someone from your world shows up and call tell you, unfortunately. And believe me, others have definitely tried. Whatever Atroma has set up here, it's made sure that dimension hopping is prioprietary specifically to itself.

I know it's not a lot of help, but you just need to have faith in your people back home.
