[The video is fumbled on as Tyrion Lannister is staring out the front of the First Breath, abject horror touching his face.]

By the Seven ... by the fucking Seven! What is that - what is that -

[He looks at his video, fumbling with it, to point it towards the Marvisa.]

There's some sort of .... terrifyingly large gun coming out of the ship and it's - Ah.

AH SHIT!

[He slapped on the communicator, flipping the ship to the encrypted frequency.]

This is a warning! Repeat, this is a warning! You are in grave danger! You must leave immediately - I repeat! Grave danger! The giant gun is pointed Right At You and you have to get out of there NOW -

[The gun goes off with a giant flicker of light into the nothing, and Tyrion sucks in a harsh breath.]

... oh no.

Do you think they heard the warning? [Vash wanted to send a warning as well, but Tyrion has been faster. Hopefully fast enough.]

I don't know. I -- I am not hearing anything. I've locked the Atroma out so it is safe but ...

[A heavy sigh.]

I fear they might all have perished.

I hope not.

[A beat.]

I'm a pilot with a free shuttle. I'm thinking I'll see how far I can go out that way before the fleet pulls me back. Want to come with me? See what we might find?

[An exhale, before Tyrion speaks firmly.]

Yes, I am an engineer and I want to see what has happened. I am on the First Breath, and I will be waiting in the docking bay.

I'll be there soon. [And he will. It will still take a few minutes as he was out on an asteroid, but he heads straight for the First Breath as soon as he gets back to his ship.]

What we find may not be pretty.

[It's a hollow warning. He's heard Tyrion's speeches about the world he's come from. He's guessing Tyrion is prepared for the worst anyway.]

[Tyrion is waiting for him, his satchel on his shoulder and his holster on his hip because he is not Entirely Certain what they will find. A dagger is also strapped to his small hip.]

I doubt it will even be ... presentable. Still, we must see. We must know what has happened to our allies.

I'm actually hoping not to find anything at all. [Then they can have maybe just the tiniest amount of hope that they had run away.

He moves the shuttle out and points to where the canon shot.]

Hope is a frail thing, here. [Tyrion murmured, mismatched eyes scanning the space before them. Looking for any parts of the shuttle, or perhaps some horrific body floating in space, expanded from the lack of vacuum.]

[Vash keeps his eye on the Marvisa. Just in case their host decides to attack them for going out this way. He doesn't think they will, but he wants lots of time to start running if needed.

When not keeping an eye out for that canon he's checking the radar.] Nothing big enough for the radar to pick it up yet. [Not that is a good thing.]

I will be honest with you - I am not sure if we should find that comforting or not.

[Tyrion leaned forward a little, before he glanced over at the radar.] However, a lack of something might indicate that they have managed to get away.

I know, but I like to live with hope. [Vash will lean aside so Tyrion can take a clear look at the radar.] That blast was one of the biggest blast I have ever seen. [And he's created some of the biggest he's seen himself.] But there's usually some sort of debris even from the biggest blasts if they hit something.

[Tyrion looked at him, before a little smile came across his face as he looked back at the radar screen. He gave a soft noise of approval as Vash moved so he could see it.] I agree. I have seen an explosion like this before, and there was very little left of what it exploded.

[Green fire eating up everything in front of it ...]

Perhaps it will be different in a vacuum?

Not sure. I admit, I haven't done any fighting in space except when we were attacked.

[Vash shifts in his seat as he peers out the window. In the distance he can see some small pieces that could be some sort of rumble.]

You may hear some bumps against the haul, but don't worry, nothing dangerous. [The pieces will be too small to avoid everything as he moves them in for a closer look. Between his augment and his years with the fleet he knows what he can't avoid won't do any damage]

Me either. And all the other fighting I have done was on an asteroid with my very angry Captain and my very angry friends. Nothing like this.

[He too, peers out the window again.] I am not worried about danger -- but -- this does not look like any part of a ship. Or a body.

[Watching it all happen.]

Hmm. [It's a good thing she made this hot take private. Wouldn't want it falling into the wrong hands.]

I thought the Marsiva was just a holding station? When the hell did it get a gun that big?!

That's one word for it.

That ... was a gigantic gun. I am not sure what kind, but yes. One gigantic gun.

[Tyrion's voice was tight.]

And I'm not sure, but I know I don't like it. We are in a great deal more danger than I thought.

That's a goddamn understatement. We're basically shepherding around a giant battleship now - one we can't get away from and one we don't know who the hell the pilots are.

[If there even are pilots.]

Shit. That headed straight for those other guys, didn't it?

I don't know if that proves they were legit or if it was just designed to do that. [Or maybe she was the only who suspected they weren't. She hardly needs a private showing.]

I know. We do not have the kind of weaponry which means we could survive an attack from that kind of ship.

[Is Tyrion's grim response to that.]

...It did. We are going to see if they managed to get away, or not.

Unless they were sittin' ready to leave at any moment...

[The start-up sequence for a ship took longer to initialize than it took for that gun to appear. And how quickly it fired?

The only hope he has is that the Marsiva was somehow mistaken in their aiming.]

But more importantly, how the hell did it know they were there?

I don't honestly know - but I hope they didn't just kill their own people to prove a point.

[He is staring at the Marvasia again.]

What it means is - we can't take our ships and run.

Unless they were.

[His voice was tighter now, because he wasn't sure if it was possible or ...]

It could be an elaborate trap. All of it.

...Shit. [He breathes the word out through gritted teeth and then runs a hand down his face. He'd just been thinking this place was pretty boring, and now he has to think about being sat next to a giant cannon.]

Either way, nothin' comes out lookin' good for us. The Atroma know we been helpin' those guys out and those guys're gonna either be dead or a lot less helpful the next time some shit goes down.
