First post! Shuffle action.

Who: The crew of the Huntress
Action: Bulma arrives on the Huntress
When: Whichever IC day the shuffle happened on!
Warning: I guess for a middle aged lady in her underwear

[ While Bulma hadn't exactly been thrilled about being whisked away to some random spaceship in a remote galaxy, she is been enjoying her brief stay aboard the Marsiva. At least a little. She's finally gotten comfortable with her surroundings, so it's starting to feel almost like a little mini-vacation.

But, when the shuffle finally takes her by surprise, she's just lounging on her bunk in her underwear, with clothes in hand, considering finally getting dressed for the day. Because of her position on the bunk, she's not able to get her legs under her in time when she's suddenly on the deck of the SS Huntress, and she tumbles onto her backside. Then the confetti goes off, leaving her on the floor, in a pile of tattered paper, looking completely bewildered. ]

W-what the Hell? What happened?!

[ The noise of a newcomer doesn't surprise Zaveid much anymore - it happens, and it means that he feels as though he's gotta get out of his jungle room move out, sticking his head through the doorway to see if he can spot them. He doesn't expect to see a woman, let alone a woman without her clothes on. He blinks, staring, before he bursts out laughing, shaking his head and leaning back. ]

Jeez, I thought they'd be a little nicer about it all, huh?

[ Not that he can talk, since he's practically always shirtless. He steps forward, crossing his arms and tilting his head. ]

Hey. You okay?

[ Wow, not even a helping hand or anything! Bulma scoffs at his laughter. She's not even that bothered that she isn't fully clothed (since who hasn't seen her in her underwear?), but it's more his reaction. ]

Hn. Fine. Nice to see at least someone's enjoying this.

[ She'll get to her feet on her own, and start shoving her dress back on. ]

[ He blinks, obviously surprised for a moment, before he shakes his head and moves forward. He's about to offer a hand - really, he is - but then she's up and moving, getting herself ready before he has a chance to pretend that he's gentlemanly. ]

Sorry. I didn't think you could see me.

[ It's something he's still getting used to - half the fleet have natural resonance and the other half are completely blind. ]

I'm guessing you're new?

What tipped you off?

[ Yeah, she's still miffed, but it could've been so much worse. Though, once she's dressed and smoothing her skirt out, she seems a little more amicable. ]

Hang on though, why did you think I could see you?

[ She turns her attention back to him and inches closer, aiming to poke him in the arm to see if he's really there. ]

The glare kinda gave it away.

[ But he's grinning, aw, look at her, all mad and stuff. It's refreshing. ]

I'm something called a seraph. Most humans can't see my kind. [ But woah - heck - ] Hey!

[Keith looked over as someone landed rather hard on the floor of the deck.]

Oh...

[Well, that was good timing, he supposed. Or bad. Good in that they had lost a lot of crew recently and having someone show up would be good for the ship overall, but bad in that this poor woman was suddenly dropped there in her underwear. Talk about unprepared and surprise transfer.]

Uh... hey...

[He'd just discreetly wait over here until she had gathered herself up enough to shake off some confetti and get dressed... don't forget the chocolate pudding.]

Sorry, I thought you were going to say you're a ghost or something.

[ She pulls back, smiling a bit sheepishly. ]

A Seraph? Is that like an Angel?

[ She does pull her dress over her head quickly, quietly cursing whichever sick idiot decided to go teleporting people around without warning. Once she gets herself off the floor, and feels she is mostly presentable she spins around to Keith. ]

All clear now!

[ She seems somewhat chipper, at least for someone who should probably have a little more shame. But she is going to pointedly ignore the pudding, since it just reminds her of really annoying people from her home universe! ]

[Sounds of a boy making a right messing of things over younger, tech wiz Bulma!

Well okay, it's more like he's repairing a hefty mess, but he's not so engrossed in trying to get this last engine up and running that he doesn't notice her when she walks by with all her bright blue hair and purpose. Sorey jumps up and heads over to the door, squinting at her down the hall to try and determine if she's a seraph...is she...?]

Hi! Um, are you lost? Or new?

Nah. We're way better than ghosts.

[ Being shirtless does give the free-to-touch vibe, but Zaveid just smirks. ]

I can be an angel if you want.

[Keith wasn't going to pass judgement on her physiology. It really wasn't his place, and she was like twice his age... >.>

But he nodded a bit and gave her a slightly sheepish smile.]

So, uh... yeah. Welcome to the Huntress. I'm Keith, the pilot.

Hm?

[ Bulma spins around, because anyone asking that must obviously be speaking to her. So far, everyone else on the ship had seemed relatively comfortable. ]

Well, I wouldn't say lost, but maybe still a little disoriented. I guess I'm part of this ship's crew now!

[ She didn't have much of an opinion on ghosts in the first place, so she's not 100% sure about that either way. She does manage a laugh at his angel comment though. ]

Trust me, if you knew about Angels where I'm from, I don't think you'd be making that offer.

[ Though if constantly catering to a disproportionately grumpy cat man sounded like his idea of a good time... ]

[ She's like twice everyone's age... Well, at least the ages people appear to be. :x ]

Sorry about that, I didn't realize that's how they move people.

[ She gives a little sigh and a disdainful shake of the head. She had hoped moving ships would mean some way to speak to someone in charge, but now she realizes that was a little too optimistic. Oh well. ]

I'm Bulma, though! I guess I'm going to be working on engineering here?

[ Not exactly, but he does cater to his own grumpy animal man... ]

Aww... I'm sure seraphs are way better than those jerks, then!

Well, tell me what a Seraph is exactly, and I'll be the judge!

[ And she'll just quietly thank their lucky stars that the angel in question can't hear them. ]

I guess we're kinda like spirits... We all have an element we're attuned to. I'm wind, but there's earth, water and fire, too.

Yeah. They're not too, uh... considerate... about it.

[He shrugged a little.]

Engineering, huh? Well, the Huntress came through the last fight pretty okay, so you won't have to learn everything the hard way, at least. You can see what it's supposed to look and act like.

[Keith smirked a bit.]

Don't worry, though. I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't take too many hits if we get into another fight.

I thought so! [Sorey musters a smile and jogs over, wiping his hand on his coveralls before holding it out for her to shake.] Introductions are in order, I guess. I'm Sorey, I'm the First Mate. I also take care of the engineering needs on the ship, and I do some leatherwork and I'm trying to get a garden going, so please let me know if you need anything!

Spirits, hm? That sounds interesting. But I guess that means my ghost guess wasn't totally wrong either!

[ She smiles triumphantly, though she's mostly joking. ]

What does a wind spirit do? I guess being a regular old human is what makes it sound pretty important to me.

I wouldn't worry about that too much!

[ She's got a sly sort of smile, like she knows some big secret he doesn't. ]

You might say I'm kind of a genius with interstellar ships! I don't mind fixing anything.

[ Of course, she doesn't yet realize these ships aren't exactly the same as the ones she's built. Not to mention she hasn't considered the augment's effects on her too much. But really, what else is she going to do on the ship? ]

Wow, is engineering really a two person job? I thought it would be kind of simple on these ships.

[ From the basic augment knowledge that she'd actually considered, anyway.
Still, she gives a nod and a thumbs up at his offer. ]

Oh but, you can call me Bulma!

[Keith shrugged.]

Well, they gave us all those augment things, so you'd know what to do with it even if you weren't a genius.

[He knew a couple of mechanical and scientific geniuses named Pidge and Hunk. Bulma's claims didn't really impress him. Sorry.]

[ Of course. It's already been bad enough losing her celebrity status way out here in the middle of space nowhere, but no one cares when they meet a world-renowned genius either? ~~Maybe because it literally doesn't matter here, Bulma~~ ]

Regardless. [ Yeah, her bitterness shows through, just a little, but it passes quickly enough. ] What else is there to do on this ship, besides work?

Oh gosh, you're an engineer? [Excuse him while he clasps your hands like you've just announced the second coming of Christ] Thank goodness! Bulma, I'm so glad you're here, so so glad.

Well... [He considered it for a moment.]

We have a lounge. That's got a dart board.

There's a pretty decent kitchen, though the food supplies leave a little to be desired. Fresh ingredients are hard to come by if we go a long stretch between planets.

There's a workshop near the engine room... and our medbay has a science lab attached.

We have some workout equipment in the cargo hold, but there's a bigger gym on the Iskaulit.

In fact, the Iskaulit has a pretty good set of things to do... there's a pool, someone's building an ice rink, a couple of restaurant/bar places, an engineering lab, a library, an interfaith center, an art studio, a study room, a dance studio, movie theatre... Well, there's a lot. [Keith could honestly keep going.] You should go over and check it out at some point.

I guess, but we're not really dead...

[ You know... ]

What do other spirits do? I can do things with the wind, use wind based magic... Y'know...
