[Video is pointless and she doesn't want to bother with text. It's hard to text and play with her pets at the same time. So, voice it is this time for her.]

I know there's a lot of humans on the ships, but what about non-humans? Seraphs, daemons, swords, weirdo fae-cat things... I know we have those, but who else is here? How do you cope?

And for the humans, I guess, how do you feel about being surrounded by those that look like you but are definitely different? Is it weird for you?

[It's philosophical. How about you answer her now?]

Even good humans have the potential to poison my kind.

Even here it can happen.

I suppose it's hard to never get angry. Everyone gets upset sometimes. I can't think of anyone who is happy all the time. What did you do back home?

I avoided humans. Stayed away from the malevolence that could turn me into a hellion or a dragon.

Hm. That doesn't exactly seem like the best coarse of action. Here or back home. Sounds lonely to me.

Is there anything that can counteract malevolence? Like if you're around malevolence that going near only good emotions can cancel that out?

Who said anything about lonely? I've had company.

And, sure, you can be purified by a special agent if you're a hellion, but only death fixes dragonhood.

Uh, unless reincarnation is something that happens in your world death does not "fix" anything.

I never asked for it.

It can, but I would rather have dragons dead than poisoning and killing my entire world. The death of one can save millions. I'm pretty sure that's more important in the long run.

Still, I think it's better that you did. Even if you didn't ask for it.

So humans poison you so that you turn into dragons so that the dragons then poison the world in return?

There's got to be some way to be able to reverse dragon-ism.

No one's succeeded.

Well, hopefully one day soon, someone even better than all of them will find a way.

Maybe, you can hope for a cure. I did for a long time but when malevolence eats away at a seraph's mind and soul and artes and all that's left is a mindless beast, what's there left to save?

The mind. A way to return the mind that was stolen away.

Sorry, I'm not very good at giving up. Even when I've run into a dead end.

If there was a way, we would have found it.

Besides, sometimes it's a mercy to put someone out of their misery. You can only try for so long before you realize that trying to "save someone" is hurting them.

Killing someone. Killing anything is never the solution. There is always another solution, you just have to keep looking for it and keep your eyes open to the future.

[ He had been watching, of course, because he is the sort to keep tabs on his sister. A bit obsessive, yes, but Eizen has never claimed not to be just that.

[Vash takes a breath. He knows these are never easy conversations and he doesn't really want to upset anyone here, but he also can't bring himself to back down either.]

No. [His tone is one he hopes comes across as kind, but firm.] No, I don't mean for them to live a life of suffering. There has got to be a way for a dragon to live without it only being a creature of mindless destruction. Then I hope that one day there can be a way to reverse the change into a dragon.

But to kill someone, is to take away that chance. To take away that hope for the future.

[ It is more than obvious to Eizen that he doesn't know what he is talking about, and somehow that fact alone only serves to anger him further. ]

There is no way. Dragons are creatures of pure malevolence, their very existence brings harm to all around them. They know nothing of kindness or hope, they know only anger, death, and destruction. [ Frustration seeps into his tone and an old wound starts to fester once more. ]

That future is gone the moment malevolence takes hold, there is no coming back from it. You can hope and pray but the facts remain, a dragon cannot be cured.

Where there is life there is the chance to change. To kill someone is to end that chance for change.

If they bring harm to those around them then find them a place they can live in peace on their own! There are always other options besides killing.

[ He exhales heavily, hands curling into tight fists. ]

Dragons do not live in peace, I didn't live in peace. For two hundred years I killed any who got to close, I would have done worse if it wasn't for Edna. The pact she made was the only thing that kept me from flying from my mountain and destroying everything I came across.

[ He knows dragons, knows what they are capable of, the danger they represent. ]

I don't care if you want to sit there and believe in a chance that doesn't exist, as stupid as it is, but don't lecture my sister on a subject you know nothing about. Don't sit there and tell her she didn't do enough to save me, that she didn't spend two hundred lonely years searching, hoping, even know she knew the truth. She tried, they all tried. I won't have you make her, or anyone of them, feel worse about my fate than they already do.

I am very sorry that your sister and everyone else had to live through that pain and that choice. I know it would have been one of the hardest decisions they would have ever made.

[But he will never agree it was the right one to make. Even when he, himself, made a similar type of decision before.]

But, I am glad that you are here now to be with her. [And that there is some good to be had because of this "show".]

We don't want or need your pity. [ It only makes this worse, makes Eizen feel angrier than he already is. ]

Alright. [Not that he can't help the way he feels. He can only imagine how great a pain it would be to feel that you must kill your own brother. (Who you like and don't want to see dead.) So he can't stop the fact that he will feel awful she was forced to make a choice like that. Out of respect he won't say anymore about it.]

May I ask a question about malevolence and how it works? [Because he's honestly curious so he could possibly help avoid situations like that in the future, but he is also trying to stay respectful. So he will understand if the answer is no.]

No. [ The answer is quick, blunt, telling of how Eizen feels about this conversation as a whole. He has no desire to be civil, no want to indulge a man who dared to lecture Edna on something he doesn't understand. ] I don't want to see you bothering my sister again.

That's fine. If she wishes- [And Vash is guessing very much that she does.] for me to avoid her then I will do my best to do so. [He makes a note to check the ship's rosters later to make sure he avoids visiting either of their ships in the future as per his request.

Although the fact that they're invisible will make that a little difficult.]
