[has it really been a week since that weird musical tune and peppy woman's voice last rang from every speaker? apparently!]
Good morning, passengers! It's Friday again, and that means another installment of the Drift Fleet Shuffle! As you all should know by now, this is when we all say hello to new faces, goodbye to old friends, and discover how the crews have changed!
First of all, if you happen to notice that there seem to a couple faces missing from your crews, rest assured that it is your imagination. The fleet is traveling through a slight hiccup of galactic radiation and is nothing to be concerned about. Those people never existed.
[and there is that ghost of audience-sound in the background again...]
Secondly, we would like to announce two new captains! Captain Wilder is taking over command of the SS Huntress, and Captain Yamanaka is now taking over for Captain Stampede, on the SS Three Twins! How exciting!
And finally-- this week, we are again welcoming four new faces into our ranks. Wow, that must be a lucky number! I hope you are all being warm and welcoming as they appear on deck today.
...Apologies in advance if the confetti devices fail to launch their standard welcoming routines upon the arrival of any newcomers today. We are having trouble with our main celebration servers. But they should be repaired before next week! Please make your new crew members feel welcome in the meantime.
We should be approaching planetary range in a few days, so relax and enjoy yourselves on the way-stations until then, because the worlds are watching!
