[ The feed clicks on as Loki is prodding the various appliances in open curiosity before he realizes it is working. With a smirk, Loki smartly claims a seat, crossing his legs and looking smug. ]

Ah, hello. I'm thrilled to be among such a — [ His eyes flicker to the lights and his smirk drops by an iota before it comes back in full force. ] — charming establishment. But I believe you have something of mine. An acquaintance. He's rather tall, prone to running into walls and likes petting things that bite him. If you could direct him to me, I'd be most appreciative.

[You know, Thor is a good person. He is doing his best. He was having a productive time on the planet, throwing chairs through windows and then waiting around to see how much of it reset. So he checked the network--

He immediately laments the fact that he's out of chairs to hurl around.

It actually takes him a good few moments of scowling at the message to bother responding. He is in fact thinking hard about what it contains and what it doesn't contain. When he finally does respond, it's with a suitable level of calm.]

Haven't seen him, sorry.

[And then he hangs up. Okay, maybe he's still aimlessly mad.]

[ Loki stares because wow, that is beyond rude and when Loki finds him, there'll be hell to pay. The annoying little brother kind. For now, Loki lets part of his temper behind (to simmer. He's never been one to forget and forgive) before re-establishing contact. ]

Well, if you do see him around, tell him I'm taking over Asgard. Again.

[Give it a few minutes, he's got some issues to vent on this unlucky house. When the feed reconnects it's with video this time, and there is Thor looking - exasperated.]

You'll do no such thing, especially while you're here.

[CHOKES ON BEER, turns away from feed and covers mouth as it dribbles down his chin]

Yeah I've seen that guy around on the network. Big shoulders, looks like he probably eats the bones with the beef?

[dothelokimotion]

[ Some of the tension in his shoulders slips. Voice can be faked and Loki's paranoid enough to consider all angles. Still, he is no less annoyed, little doubts easing their way through. Had he done something? A moot point since Loki has always done something, but he cannot recall anything of late. ]

Oh, I'm sorry. Do I know you?

[dothelokimotion]

Be careful with those shoulders. He could take out an eye that way.

[ Says Loki, the guy who wears horns to deliberately put out people's eyes. ]

[Good question, Thor thinks, given the circumstances. He doesn't doubt that Loki knows him of course. It's whether he knows where he is that's the real issue at hand. A niggling part of him still wonders if Loki somehow managed to do this on purpose, but he shoves it away. That's not helping.]

Yeah, though no one would be able to tell from that picture. Honestly, Loki.

[There's no true irritation in that, at least. He has to admit it's a relief to see Loki again, even after so short a time.]

[ Loki keeps his tone deliberately nonchalant, waving a flippant hand. His eyes, though, have narrowed into slits, contemplative and wary. ]

Nonsense. People picked you out immediately. And I drew that with my eyes closed.

[On some level, Thor knows he's botching it here. Loki seems too on guard for the conversation if he truly does know what's going on. And yet, that could be an answer in itself. Thor hums, scratching at the back of his neck.]

I don't see the resemblance at all.

[More seriously:]

[ Blandly. ]

Fine. Aside from the fact that I came to get you and you seem angry at me for some reason.

[ But maybe Thor never really wanted him around. It's only Loki who is the needy one now. Doing the chasing. He feels like a fool. ]

[rebuildyourruins]

[Oh, boy. Thor sighs, raking his fingers back through his hair, his frustrations bleeding away. Not for good, but to come back to another day.]

I am angry, but not at you, brother. [Not truly. It's some unfortunate collateral damage.] Did you just get here?

[Better to be direct at this point.]

[ His eyes flick over to Thor, assessing. ]

I did.

I take it the situation here is beyond your control.

[ He's not stupid. The location, the strange device on his neck. Reminiscent and telling. ]

At the moment it is. ['For now' is implied. Thor has no intention of being controlled forever. He tilts the communicator, frowning at a point to the left of Loki.] Let me guess. You're in a deserted room on a ship, and you cannot access any rooms beyond the one you're in.

[dothelokimotion]

[ Loki leans back, rocking the chair slightly on its heels. ]

So it seems. I haven't tried breaking in . . . yet.

It will not amount to much if you try. The Marsiva is impenetrable.

[At least it was to him, and everyone else he knows.]

I am afraid you're stuck there until the Atroma, the beings behind all of this, choose to move you to another ship. And none of us who've been moved off the Marsiva can return to it.

[Which may explain why Thor hasn't come beating down any doors there yet.]

[ Ah. Loki thought it strange that Thor was opting for this primitive means of communication instead of barging in on Loki's location. It eases some of his private fears, at least.

Still. ]

It's not like you to speak in such finality.

[ He knows it's terrible. Still works though. ]

You know multiple blond men with an eye-patch?

[Ugh, don't remind him. Thor doesn't want this place to get to him like it has the longer-term residents. He makes a noise of displeasure before waving it off.]

It's what I've seen and heard so far. Someone suggested firing cannons on the Marsiva recently-- but that's something to test another day.

I travel with pirates, so yeah.

That doesn’t really look like an eyepatch, though.

Mmm. Just don't blow me up until I've moved off ship, if you don't mind.

[ A beat. ]

That does not explain your issue with me, though.

You travel with stereotypes, it seems.

Not all patches need a strip of cloth to stay on.

Yeah, you’re right. The problem is definitely my perception and not the quality of the picture.

[Her tone is one of indifferent sarcasm. She’s mostly being difficult for the sake of being difficult.]

[ He can tell. Besides, Loki isn't all that fussed about the picture. He didn't actually put effort into it. And it was the lack of effort that drew Thor out and gave Loki a good laugh.

What more reason did he need? ]

I'm glad you're so self-aware and could find the source of the problem immediately.

[Like himself. Thor's tempted to retort that he has no 'issue' with Loki, but it's a kneejerk reaction that neither of them would really believe. A play could be written about these issues.]
