[As promised and was likely destined, given Felix's interests, the majority of his time spent in the next couple of weeks after the fleet's arrival in this system is at the local library. He scours the rolodex catalog for every single reference to technology that he can find, before hunting them out one by one on the stacks. It still feels a little alien, to have all this knowledge rattling around in his mind without any memory of putting it there himself. It's something he tries not to give much voice to, but it sneaks in every once awhile, as he moves from one book to the next. Nevertheless, the question of what is happening on this planet drives him past the shiver of unease.
There is a pile of volumes at the table, neatly stacked, and he sighs with a mixture of fatigue and frustration as he closes one and adds it to the pile before reaching aside to the untouched books at the side, and begins again.]
I only wish I knew what I was actually looking for...
2. More books! (shopping)
[In between bouts of furious research, Felix wanders the shops looking for things that he can take back with him to the ships. Less actual supplies and more luxuries, as he counts on the fact that at least someone on his ship is responsible enough to take the opportunity to gather food for the Goldstone. Hopefully.
Most of this is, again, books. This time the bookstores are his primary target. His activity here is less selective browsing and more desperate grab for everything he can get his hands on. Here, he piles books of every subject into a cart he's likely stolen from the grocery store. He only stops every now and then to glance at the titles and mutter the words to himself curiously before adding it to the stack.]
3. Everything else (wildcard)
[Felix doesn't wander far afield, being busy with research and ransacking the bookstores, but he does wander the shops looking for clothes and other interesting tidbits to spruce up his quarters, inspecting the empty homes, and maybe catching that melodramatic soap at the theater, among other things.
