[it's still surprising to her to see a race she recognizes, so when her name is called and she turns to respond, she pauses to blink widely for a moment. It was always one thing to see a person over the network and then in person, but this was a little different.

Even so, the surprise is quick and she offers a smile in greeting]

[He looks at her, her bag, and then motions to the house.] Raiding?

It is much more fun to call it raiding. [she has to get her amusement from somewhere, and using probably the wrong word for what she's doing works well enough]

But yes, I am gathering supplies as well. Things my ship will need.

[Somehow that seemed just the kind of thing Aylen would have said. He heaves a sigh, missing his friend, but then shuffles the thought to the back as he follows up her to the house.]

I am. Is there anything else I could be? [He knows his kind aren't exactly common but he was fairly certain there wasn't anything else he could be mixed up with. But here, though? Maybe here there were similar creatures?

He pulls a look at the mention of fruits and vegetables.] I've been grabbing cured meats. Things that look like they could last ... and actually fill one up!

You never know in these kinds of places. One of my traveling companions is a dragonborn, though - you remind me of him, a bit. [besides it was rude to assume, but she had been wondering since they first spoke]
