With Faeren, the earth spirit, you could manipulate the ground a little and make rocks rise, but you couldn't move the earth through the air or anything like that. What I liked best about her, though, is that you could use her to help make plants grow. And Kippin, he was the air spirit, could make like... brief breezes, I think? But mostly people used him to mute sound waves, although I heard some people were skilled enough to create sound even if there had been nothing there to cause it.
